I've been here many times, it's a genuine French restaurant. French snails are a must-order every time and are delicious. Love their daily specials, I had the Israeli couscous salad today which was very healthy and delicious. The seared sea bass was also great. The servers are friendly and welcoming, and every time you dine here it's a wonderful experience.

Delightful dinner last evening. Beef Carpaccio was beautifully arranged and delicious. Caesar salad with fresh avocado and polenta croutons perfectly balanced. Duck cooked to perfection with blueberry sauce and Beef Rib-Bourguignon with a rich sauce excellent choice entrees each with the Gratin Dauphinois. Topped off with the Caramelia Creme Brulee and hot cookie. A most rememberable dining experience with excellent service. The table next to us ordered the rack of lamb... can hardly wait for a return visit to try this. They raved about it! This is a hidden gem in Venice.

We were delighted last spring, to have dinner at Longet, and lucky to get a reservation as they had just opened. The whole experience was simply superb, and we’ve been back several times more recently, and if I could, I’d give them 7 or 10 stars. We were fortunate enough to visit Nice, Provence and Paris this past September and without hesitation, Longet favorably compares to any of the best Bistro’s, Brasserie’s and Restaurants in France. We force ourselves to try something new from the menu each time, and have not been disappointed yet. And there are plenty of very nice, reasonably priced wines to complement any entree you choose. Lastly, the Hostess greets us each time, remembering us and making us feel both welcome and appreciated. Same as we were leaving, including having a brief conversation with the owner’s wife! We highly recommend Longet to anyone who enjoys great food, great wine and a wonderful atmosphere… you will not be disappointed!!!

This may be my new favorite restaurant! Food was excellent. The staff great, friendly, and knowledgeable. We went gor our Anniversary and the owner came and gave us a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and a candle in it! ( My wife loves chocolate!) I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an element ambiance and 5 star meal!

After a decade of reviewing restaurants, I truly believe that Longet is one of the BEST hidden gems that I have ever stumbled across. From the food to the service, it is truly one of a kind. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is warm, welcoming, enjoyable. The staff greets you with a feeling that they want to instead of having to. They're engaged with you during the process of selecting drinks, dishes, all of it. And the food? Well, let me tell you that the food is absolutely incredible. The French braised short rib was the BEST of its style that I've EVER had, even in Europe. I promise you, if you're in the area and looking for a place to have an upscale dinner while not feeling like you're out of place, this is the place for you! Trust me.

Simply perfect. Busy, elegant, and wonderful. We had mourned the absence of Cafe Longet but its reincarnation as Longet is even better. A wonderful space that feels more like the upper east side than Venice . (I mean that as a compliment) Great, great great menu The triple take was cooked to perfection and my husband’s chicken was sublime. How often do you think of a chicken dish as sublime! A great wine list too / with some Very reasonably priced French reds too! And the delicious blueberry tart has returned It’s a joy

🎂✨ I celebrated my birthday dinner at Longet, and the overall experience was truly delightful. We had made a reservation in advance and were given a lovely table. What impressed me most was the thoughtfully comfortable room temperature perfect even in a dress, which is something I deeply appreciate in fine dining settings. 🍽️ As someone who has tried many French restaurants, I found the Beef Tartare nicely seasoned, preserving the freshness of the meat. The Scallops with green asparagus were beautifully executed definitely a standout dish. 🍮 For dessert, I had a Crème Brûlée served with a scoop of sorbet, doubling as my birthday cake. 🌟 The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was relaxed yet elegant. It’s a place where you feel both welcomed and cared for.

We have dined at many Michelin star restaurants around the world and the food at Longet is that good. We have dined there numerous times (including when it was Cafe Longet) and have never been disappointed. The service is friendly and very good, as is the atmosphere. This is a hidden gem in the Central Gulf Coast area.

We came down to visit friends and couldn't wait to try newly opened Longet. Beautiful decor and furnishings. The wait staff are incredibly attentive and accommodating. The food is *chef's kiss* delicious. There is a reason why chef Longet is so well loved in Venice. Book your reservations early as they booked out quickly.

Had a wonderful pre-Thanksgiving dinner here. Beef Bourginon, risotto with beautifully seasoned shrimp, oysters on the half shell from Connecticut, and a fruit tart. The beef was to die for and risotto with tender asparagus was smooth and tasty. This is a high end restaurant, make sure to check out the menu prices if you're on a budget. Reservations are a must.

Wednesday we went for the first time. Unfortunately when trying to call and email the day before we never heard back so we just showed up. The wine pairing dinner they were offering was a private event and we were almost turned away by the first older hostess, who basically told me she didnt receive my call or email. She had a terrible customer service attitude, I would retrain or place someone else at the door in the future. BUT thankfully the other host Kylie went above and beyond to try and accommodate us. It was my boyfriend's birthday and he had been wanting to try this restaurant out for a while. We completely understood that this event was planned and if the chef couldn't accommodate us that was ok, as long as we could come back another time. But Kylie talked with the chef and they provided us a spot. After that the whole experience was top tier. The food was incredible and my boyfriend who is a french trained chef was in heaven with the modern twist on the cuisine. The wine rep did a great job and kept everyone's attention. All in all great experience and we will be back, thank you Kylie for making it happen!
