I use to do mechanics and I like to flip boats as hobby, but every now and again I run into an issue that I just can't figure out no matter what I try. That's where Justin comes in. The man just knows his stuff. He has a wealth of knowledge and is always able to pinpoint and fix issues that stumped me. He's worked on 3 boats for me so far now and I honestly can't say enough good things about the guy. He's responsive, polite and he gets it done. Writing this review is bitter sweet because it feels like telling people where my favorite hitten fishing spot is but he's more than earned it.
Calling this guy was the best decision ever. I was told by another mechanic that the motor had a rust hole and the motor was trashed. Justin went through the motor and found out it was only the throttle bodies. He swapped out the units and I was able view the change.I had him swap out the complete intake system,oil,filter and spark plugs. He is changing out the lower unit seals next week. Before you junk the boat,,/motor give this guy a call. Really give him a call.
Justin did an annual service on our 150 Suzuki and also fixed our frozen steering issue that another local business could not. He did exactly what he promised and on time, taking time to explain in detail exactly what the job would entail. Highly recommend!
If anyone is in need of a good outboard mechanic, Justin at Florida 4 stroke outboards in Tarpon Springs is not only extremely knowledgeable, but fast as well. I called him on a Friday for a 200 Suzuki that wouldn’t start, he told me to bring it to him the same day, and had it running and ready to go on Saturday, plus he took care of a few other issues. I’m a commercial waterman, when I called other places, I was told 2 to 3 weeks. My boat is how I make a living. I highly recommend Justin. You will not be disappointed.

When I met Justin for the first time, I spoke with him in length about my problem and he was so professional, informative and frank, that by the end of the conversation I knew he was the one I would trust with my boat and motor. And the future proved I made the right decision! The repairs were done in shortest time possible with highest quality imaginable. I bought a used boat with a newer Suzuki outboard and wanted some to someone to check over the motor to ensure that it was in good shape so that I could get out on the water. I can't praise Justin enough! A few months ago my motor took a poop on the water. I met Justin on a an ad on Facebook. Mind you with no intention of buying the item that was listed just wanted some info on my issue as i seen he was a mechanic. . He literally took over 30 mins of his busy time to stop and talk to me and give me advice and tips and good information. It was at that moment I knew he would be our mechanic we trust in for our boat. He got us a good motor, recommended other equipment I needed and now this boat runs like a dream. I live in New tampa, over an hour from his shop but it's well worth the drive of having a peace of mind your boat is in great hands. Also I never met a mechanic or tech in their professional trade that will answer all your questions until It makes sense(cause I don't understand motors haha). I would definitely recommend Tarpon 4 strokes for your need.
Wealth of information in and intelligence and diagnosed a gas leak super quick. I spent four hours trying to figure this out and their shop diagnosed the issue within minutes. Highly recommend.
Justin is awesome, he's a wealth of knowledge and spent a ton of time on the phone with me helping me decide whether to repair myself or replace. He never pitched me on anything. I recommend you call him if you have any questions about repowering or repairs.
Justin is by far is the best marine mechanic I have ever had to work with. I am fishing guide and it is my job to stay on the water as much as possible. If I am not on the water I am not making a living. I drive 2 hours and 45 minutes just so Justin can work on my boat if there is ever an issue. Luckily I don’t have to make that drive that often which speaks volumes on the quality of work that he does. I put anywhere from 200-300 hours a year on my motor and it runs like it just came off the dealers lot! You will not find a better guy or shop in the industry.

I had the worst salt water intrusion problem you can imagine. The cylinder head and and cylinder were both trashed and the whole engine was corrupted with rust. I tried to buy a new motor but at the time no motors were available and no dealership could offer a delivery date. So I took a chance and called Justin. Justin is the man! Talk about a guy that knows his stuff! Purchased a rebuilt 05' 115 suzuki and here I am 3 years later and over 300+ hrs with zero issues... I know guys that get brand new motors and have issues in less than 300 hrs.... I'm pushing easily 1200 hrs total on this motor and she has yet to let me down. The guy is a encyclopedia of motor knowledge and just an all around dependable motor mechanic. Which if you've dealt with many, good ones are extremely hard to find....
And not that it correlates but first trip with motor landed me my first 120lb tarpon!
Highly recommend Justin he was very professional and honest felt like he had been a friend for a long time the way he treats you. What we thought was going to be a 7-8 k rebuild turned out to be 3. That is being honest and fast turn around.
