I called ahead for the prerelease night for the magic set. They told me that they had plenty inventory for the pre release products. They stated that the cost for the night would be 35 bucks. I arranged for my play group to all meet here and play, 8 people, and when we got here the young lady at the counter said her manager decided to change the price for the boxes to 50 bucks. I decided to pay tonight however I am not buying my normal 2 play boxes, sleeves, or snacks, we will NEVER be back and I let my entire play group know what they were walking into half canceled and went elsewhere. Next event we attend will be at collect GG or another store. Not to mention they are always way over market on sealed product. I hope the manager chokes on the extra few bucks and hope the owner does as well if he is aware.

We only got to play 2 rounds of mtg pre-release for 50 dollars. There is more context; it was 10, when the store typically closes. I had no idea. I had asked repeatedly if we would be able to have a third round if I lost, and the employee said we would. Not only did we not have a third round, but HE DIDN'T TELL US. We learned as we finished. I am extremely frustrated since I paid more for less without knowing. If it had been communicated that there would only be 2 rounds period, end of story, I would have been less angry. It was the fact I was LIED to, intentionally or not, that frustrates me. I paid to play, and learned I bought less for more when it was too late. Prizing was also terrible for $10 more than other stores, so I just felt taken advantage of. appreciate the response. it was late and the guy was tired, so im happy you were ablw to talk about it. clearly there is a dedication to improvement. i respect that.

Just spent over 100$ I bought a 50$ tin last week didn’t pull a single hit once again two tins didn’t pull anything every pack had this color change in the spot where they resealed it. Don’t buy those xy tins scam. I called and they told me things change all the time even the evolving skies was re sealed I cannot believe it I am so pissed. Can’t buy any pokemon at stores and card shops are scamming 👍👍 I have bought booster boxes spent over 2k in this store over time and I cannot believe those packs were resealed. Only those tins though I have open plenty of sealed stuff and fine but those tins are resealed let alone every single pack I’m out 150$ and got told that packs change and that’s how the press machine works in the factory. I have open a lot of pokemon packs never once seen a pack discolored and literal melted plastic coming off the packs. Would love to get my money back or even a booster box. I like your store out of all them in pinellas or near by but I can’t afford to get scammed again. I will not return unless I get compensation or you guys take them off the shelves I can come in and pull one random tin and all packs will look the same. I have even brought you customers because I like your store so much but I just can’t believe it this is the first time I’ve ever ran into resealed products

This location is not a WOTC premium location and does not feel like one. Read some of the other negative reviews, especially the one about the poorly run RCQ. Regardless of whether or not the employee running the event was inexperienced, that play experience should be unacceptable to any customer. There is a certain level of expectation for competitive play. Excuses don't fix the fact that the event went the way it did. The owner tries to reason around every negative review left and offer a discount if the reviewer returns, feels shifty. EDIT: On the RCQ issue review, the owner says he will retroactively fix the payout structure IF the reviewer comes back to the store and plays in another event. Why not just show good will and fix what he's already admitted to be a mistake? I understand pricing on sealed product can change rapidly, but there are no prices on literally anything in the store, even board games or accessories. I figured I would support a local business instead of Amazon and I was on my way past the store so I stopped in to grab some sleeves for a board game I recently purchased. I found that the only choice of sleeves are solid color Player's Choice or graphic sleeves. I asked the employee if they sold Ultra Pros, he said no, just the ones I see on the racks. I grabbed three packs of Player's Choice. The one employee working was in the middle of helping someone else with a singles purchase and said he could work me in real quick. I already basically had my card in the reader when he told me it would be $34 for the three packs. I should have put the packs back and left but avoided the awkward moment and paid. I wouldn't have made a purchase if there was any sort of posted pricing because I would be able to make an informed decision, but it's kinda hard to quit in the middle of a transaction when you learn the price as your card is on the edge of the reader. I almost always buy Ultra Pros, I have never paid more than $6 or $7 for a pack of sleeves, and could never have assumed they would be that expensive. The whole experience was weird and left an odd taste in my mouth. I frequent Game-o-storus and should never have strayed. Go there instead if you want transparent pricing and properly run events.

My friends and I attended a Regional Championship Qualifier for Magic the Gathering at this location. Entry to attend was $40, which is extraordinarily high for this kind of event. We assumed this would contribute to the prize pool, and that this would later be distributed as store credit- as this is an industry standard. Not only was there no judge present and no deck checks administered (which is enough to disqualify them from hosting further events) but at the end of the tournament we found that the intention was for no prizing payout support aside from attendance related promotional cards worth pennies, which are relatively costless for the store to procure. Baffled, I decided to speak directly to the manager regarding this. Firstly, his demeanor and attitude were incredibly dismissive. This man was rude in such a way that would cause me to avoid Kitchen Table Games regardless of my other concerns. He stated he would do no better than distribute $80 in store credit across the top finishers (after pocketing over $400 in entry costs altogether). We each paid $40 to enter and the first place winner received $27. For those unaware: when an event such as this is entered by 10 people who each pay $20, the total prizing amounts to something along the lines of $160 store credit split between the victors as they see fit. When prizing is handled this way the tournament host reaps a profit regardless. I am stunned that this tournament was handled so poorly from top to bottom, and it was a miserable experience altogether. If you are a competitive TCG player, or even a casual gamer looking to pick up some goods, I highly recommended avoiding this store altogether.

If youbare into magic the gathering then you should be right at home here. Plenty of space and well lit. My complaint is due to a lack of customer service. When asked about the pricing of the used product I was told it should be on the product. When i showed that it wasn't the clerk just kinda walked off.

Great place to meet and play board games, either bring your own or borrow from the lend shelf or they have a great selection of games for purchase. Very friendly and helpful! They also offer plenty of minis and some dice etc.

I called in advance to sell Magic Cards. Upon entry I was greeted with unfriendly staff. They seemed annoyed and bothered by me even walking up to the register. Both huffing and puffing and giving me condescending attitudes. I will take my business elsewhere. Would not recommend.
