I booked a mobile IV service with the Wellness Lab while on vacation after suffering with a terrible stomach bug. Booking was seamless and bonus points for not having to leave my hotel room. I’ll also give them some credit since the fluids did help the state I was in. However, the actual service and aftermath was less than ideal. I’ll preface the next part by saying I am someone who has had many, many IVs, blood draws, and needle pokes in my life - and never have I had this happen to me. In previous IV services that I’ve had, it takes about 45-50 minutes to empty the bag once hooked up. This bag was emptied in almost less than 25 minutes. While I didn’t question it in the moment, I remember noting how quickly things were going. The nurse failed to check on things until it came time to inject one of the vitamins, never asked how things were, etc. I got the vibe she didn’t want to be there. Once the bag was empty - it was like she couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I couldn’t help but think she set the bag at a faster drip pace in order to hurry the appt along. She was in and out, setup, bag drip, and all, in 35 minutes. I woke up the next day with an extremely sore and bruised arm - a hard bump also at the injection site. The bruise has continued to grow larger over the past few days. It unfortunately appears that the nurse blew my vein in the process - either poor insertion, too fast of a drip pace, or both. Wellness Lab - please train your nurses better! Nobody should be dealing with this after a simple IV treatment.

After playing golf this weekend in heat over 100 degrees, I thought I was going to have heat stroke. I drank a gallon of water and I still cramped up worse than I have ever before.
