I had a terrible experience at this Petco. I was with my family looking for guppies for my kids' starter tank. To be clear: I had over 10 years of experience breeding fish in Brazil. Two different employees refused to sell me fish, citing 'ammonia' and 'tank size' in the most condescending way possible. One lady was incredibly unprofessional, asking me right in front of my children, 'Do you even want dead fish?' just because I disagreed with her. They seem to follow a training booklet without having any real-world knowledge or basic customer service skills. If you're in the Naples area, save yourself the frustration and go to another local store instead where people actually know what they’re doing and treat customers with respect. Having Dakota as my Yorkshire terrier’s trainer was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and not only was incredible working with Kali but along the way provided valuable insight and information on dealing with growing puppy issues. My Kali absolutely loves him.

Unfair Fish Return Policy Despite Proof and Recent Purchase Today I visited Petco here in Naples, Fl 34109. I’m extremely disappointed with this store. After spending over $100 on a new tank, supplies, and fish, I was sold a fish that was clearly unhealthy from the start. It died shortly after being introduced to my tank, even though all the other fish are still alive and well—proving the problem wasn’t with my setup. When I returned to the store less than a week after purchase, I came prepared with my receipt and even a water sample to show my tank’s condition. Despite having this proof, they refused to help simply because I didn’t have the dead fish with me. All of this over a $5 fish—especially frustrating since I was planning to buy more fish today. This rigid policy is unreasonable and discouraging—especially from a company that claims to promote responsible pet care. I expected better customer service, understanding, and accountability. After this experience, I will be rethinking any future purchases from Petco.
