I would not recommend using this company. We have hired multiple cars across multiple countries in South America, New Zealand and Europe and this has been the worst experience we have had. No other company has ever charged my credit card for the deposit, it is only ever a hold or pending transaction. Not only does this mean I have incurred a 3% charge for an international transaction, but I was also informed that it would take the full 30 business days to return this deposit. This is simply a money making scheme to earn interest from money that isn’t theirs. I will have to pay the $2000 credit card bill as the money will take the full 30 working days to be returned. It’s not the fault of the staff, but this company policy is daylight robbery. I also find it completely extortionate that we were charged $16.95 per day to “activate” the toll registration on the car, simply an expensive admin fee for minimal effort on their part. They also don’t accept American Express, which we weren’t told in advance, meaning we were forced to spend $20 per day extra for an additional driver to use a different card. Don’t use this company.
