Jon and his team have been great throughout our entire boat-buying experience. As new boat owners, we truly appreciated their kindness, professionalism, and guidance every step of the way. We purchased a new boat and AJ, Jon, JR, Paul and Jamie were all very professional while purchasing our newly built 32 Fountain. Since the purchase they have scheduled routine maintenance services and fixed minor details that they found that are under warranty. Thank you to the Cortez Cove team! They have been upfront and honest with us from the beginning. Convenient location and genuinely very nice people to work with when dealing with boats. Boaters know there are always issues/on going maintenance while boating and since the boat world has become overly busy since the Covid days, it’s nice to have a marina you can trust. This team has always been available for any questions. Thanks again Cortez Cove… my son and I love our new boat!! Special thanks to Paul and AJ for helping us with the newly installed trolling motor!!!

I have only been boating for four years. I have heard so many horror stories about boat yards that when I discovered an area of my hull that needed repair, I was truly concerned. Cortez Cove Marina was where I took her for her repair and total bottom job. I have to say, they took fantastic care of me and the boat. AJ and Jamie are nothing less than totally professional, courteous, and friendly. They always made me feel comfortable and cared about. I received the invoice today and was pleasantly surprised as I believe they were very reasonable with their pricing. If you need work done on your boat, trust me, Cortez Cove Marina will not disappoint you. Thank you AJ and Jamie and the professional crew that did the repairs and painting.

We had the bottom painted 2/16/21. Just had the boat hauled for a survey. Broker was sure boat would need bottom paint. Paint is still fine, at least another year left. Great shop, fair prices.

We had a 1 pm pre-purchase haulout scheduled. We arrived at about 12:50 they were not ready for us. We waited until 1:30 before they were ready for us to pull the boat. Paul was the crane operator, and he and the crew worked efficiently and professionally. We had Cortez power wash the boat which they didn't finish until close to 2:15. After we had access to the boat less than 30 minutes, a man by the name of Jimmy began yelling at us from about 50 feet away. Jimmy was rude and his opening statements were profanity laced. Intially, he was upset because the boat was not back in the water. We tried explaining that the boat hadn't been out of the water an hour. This included their time to power wash. He then personally attacked us verbally saying that is why they shouldn't do business with people like us. Still not sure what that meant. Did he mean sailors or catamarans or what. Fat white guy here so maybe he meant fat guys? It is sad because Paul and the crane crew were very professional. The women I paid was very friendly and professional. Full disclosure apparently we violated a policy by applying paint to the prop. Didn't know that wasn't allowed. Somebody politely telling us would have stopped it immediately. Instead he waited until we were done then cussed us out for it. JJ

READ THIS! The smooth talking salesman AJ will assure you that you are being taken care of but it may not be the case. I wanted to believe in these guys, even after they put a deal together with me but then bumped me 36k because they were concerned about warranty work. I went against my gut and completed the deal after a bunch of non sense and increase in price even after we had a deal. I purchased a 2023 fountain 38 SCX for 636k only to find out that it was their demo boat and they beat it up while taking videos. Aj picked up the boat and they were supposed to fix all the issues including the hard top not being fastened and/or secured. They did. NOT go through my boat and I am stuck with a lemon. There are videos all over the internet of them beating this boat, maxing it out, all for marketing. I am suing this company and demanding a full refund for the Lemon 38 SCX they sold me. This boat has been in the shop more than I have been able to use it. Found multiple videos of Cortez beating it and maxing it out with a full crew on board. They sold me a demo boat but I was under the impression it was brand new. Do your research on these people and don’t believe a word AJ says.

I hardly ever write reviews, but this company right here definitely deserves one. I was worried about bringing my 50 Viking in as I haven't heard many good things about boat yards. Immediately while the haul out was happening I was greeted by Jon and Jamie and other staff. Jamie had a notebook in hand taking notes on everything Jon and I discussed what I wanted done and she didn't miss a thing! Right away they made me feel like they were on top of their game and I felt like I was in the right place, and in good hands. I cannot even tell you everything about how well they took care of me and my vessel as this would be a book..lol. I was doing a ton of major upgrades and all I can say is every single part of the job was taken care of with true professionalism and fair pricing. Don't bother looking anywhere else if you are reading this as you are in the right place. Jon the owner cares about his clients and his reputation and that's enough for me!

Once we made contact with the new ownership group our experience was excellent. The new owners are organized, efficient and follow through with all promises, something very rare in Florida. They preformed a swim platform reinforcement and fiberglass repair, repaired a poor bottom job (basically new bottom job), moved a difficult (impossible) to access generator strainer, and some other minor work in the engine room. All was done on time & under budget, and with great communication throughout the entire process. I did review the previous ownership and that was based on my experience during what sounded like a very difficult business transition. These new guys knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend this Boatyard for all yacht maintenance & repair needs.

Very professional in completing pre-purchase haul-out for survey - They not only rinsed down the hull, but also scraped the shafts and rudders to make sure the surveyor could get to what he needed to see. The biggest issue is that the entrance to their lift is VERY restricted, with several large boats moored along the entry so that it's a tough turn to get in with anything larger than about 45'. (The boat we were looking at was 53'.) Nice people, and for the little time we spent there seems like a nice facility (other than the entry).

We have had absolutely top notch, expert service and advice from Jon Lynch and the excellent, friendly staff. Honest, fair prices, lots of sharing of info, and fairly prompt!! We have been boating for more than 4 decades with sailboats and motor yachts in North Carolina, Annapolus, Washington, DC, and Cortez Cove is among the very best!!

For the past six years Cortez Cove Marina technicians and management have maintained and repaired our boat - bottom jobs, mechanical maintenance and fiberglass repair, hull painting and bottom jobs and multiple wood working and electrical retro-fitting projects. Always professional, always meeting our expectations, always accommodating to our schedule.
