For years west marine was the place to go for hooks, wiring , plumbing and boat pumps and accessories, now a days the prices are never consistent and seem to keep going up. Get a pro account for buisness owners to save a little money is pretty much worthless now. Bs discount for the ones who shop the most. I got a new live well pump $179 and a 2 year plus plan for $25 a year go. The pump just went out. Now the pumps are over 200 and the plus plans have doubled in price. They never have what you need. Fishing section blows. My local hardware store has double the fishing stuff west marine has. Sad to say my days of shopping at west marine are becoming a waste of my time and money. Hit Walmart up before wasting your time.

Had a horrible experience this morning. Came in for a battery exchange because batteries were not holding charge. The parts manager this particular day was very rude, and dismissive. Luckily, the store in Sarasota fixed the problem even upgraded the batteries I was currently using. Wish the customer service of this store was a quarter of what happens in Sarasota. Thank you for teaching me this lesson. I won’t be back to this location.

It was very hard to find help in this store. The workers just seem to be collecting hours and that’s about it. They have everything you need for your boat, a little pricy but that's Boating for ya, $$$. If they don't have it in stock they get it fast for you, and they do accept returns on most items so that makes me comfortable I go there alot, very good stores.

This is the only place locally that you can get soft copper multistrand wire in 2awg, 3awg, 4awg, 6awg, 8awg, and 10awg. It's a little more per foot than the other online suppliers however if you need it now this place has it. They where out of number 4 the day I went. No worries 2 worked
