We have been having issues with our tankless water heater for years. Two other plumbing companies came out and “fixed it” but it quickly “unfixed” itself. Sewell plumbing came out and spent hours on the phone with the manufacturer and ran lots of tests. He got to the root cause and explained it to us. He even guaranteed he would come back at no additional charge if it messes up again. So happy!

They're customer service is terrible and they don't guarantee their work. I had a leak under my bathroom sink. They put blue pipe sealant around a pipe and charged me $180. They were here 20 mins. That didn't fix the leak. Then they said they would charge me again to fix it properly. As a response to sewell comment. There was only one problem the whole time. 2nd trip, nothing was done. 3rd trip the guy slightly moved a pipe by hand. I then asked to talk with a manager and never received a call back. I stand by my dissatisfaction with your work and customer service.

Great customer service. I had a clogged p-trap on my mobile home and Hunter came out and snaked it out no problem. Sewell's Plumbing is the way to go for your plumbing needs!!!

I called Sewell's plumbing &air when my a/c went out. I received excellent and honest service from Carlos. They're not just trying to sell you new unit like some of the other companies. I would highly recommend them for plumbing too. I needed a few small repairs to outside water hose attachments that were leaking. They were fixed in no time. Thanks to everyone at Sewell's.

From the original phone call to the wave goodbye, it was such a pleasant experience.
Appointment was made, technician arrived right on time, assessed the situation and before I knew it, work was completed. Nice young man that knew what he was doing, fixed the problem and was ready to go. It’s always nice to meet a professional that not only is good at their job but can also chit-chat for a second before heading out to the next job. Call it lonely old lady syndrome, haha. The whole experience was uneventful but at the same time enjoyable. I hope I won’t need a plumber again anytime soon but I know who to call….SEWELL!!! Thank you

Very disappointed with this company. I had an issue with water under my house.
I live in colony cove. And this company was refer by some of the home owns.
So I call them. They came on Monday . Two young guys walk around the outside of my home, and looked under the house with a flashlight, and told me that they could not do the job because of the water under house.
Well that charged me $180.00 for walking around the house.
Told me until the water was gone and the dirt was dry. They could do the job
Well I had a leak . So yes there was water .
So I cancel the next appointment. Because it was going to rain anyway.
I called another plummer who did do the job,and even in the rain.
So for you people who need a plummer.
Call around until you find an honest one whois not going to charge you a fee for an assessment. Before seeing if it could be done

Sewell plumbing sent to plumbers to install plumbing from the kitchen sink to the existing drain pipe. They also needed to replace a section of cast-iron pipe behind the wall that they broke. I personally opened the back of all of the cupboards, and removed the drywall so that the plumbing was exposed. Even though only one plumber could get into the cabinet at a time, I was charged for two plumbers being there. I was charged $140 an hour for the plumber and $70 an hour for the second plumber that they called his assistant. His job was to run out to the truck and get things for the other plumber. The job cost? $1200. That is a ridiculous price for the work that they did. It took them four hours to connect the PVC pipes from the sink drain to the drain pipe in the wall. I called and spoke to the company and expressed that that was way more than I was expected. The response was completely unsympathetic and just stated that that is what the price is and it’s based on how long it took them in to do that job.

After 2 other plumbers were unable to unclog the drains, Sewell's did the job in record time and for a reasonable price. We live in a condominium bldg. and the drains in the bathroom sink and shower became clogged. 1st plumber tried unsuccessfully to snake the drains, then said they would need to open the ceiling of the unit below ours to replace the drain lines. Estimated cost of $2,200.
Plumber #2 also tried unsuccessfully to snake the drains, and also said they would need to access the drain lines through the ceiling of the unit below ours, plus replace vent pipes above that lead to the roof. Estimated cost $6,000. to $10,000. (HOA said there are no such "vent pipes") The owner of the unit below denied access through his ceiling and we are glad because Sewell's was able to clear the drains in one quick visit for a very reasonable price. Thank you, Sewell's Plumbing and Air. Prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. 5 stars!

Great Company, A/C went down and 90 degrees in house. Called them 9am and Technician (Mike) was here by 1PM. He fully tested my 2 year old system that was bought from another company and troubleshoot motor went bad. Installed new motor and fully tested again. House is cool again. Thank you for your quick and absolutely Great service!

Horrible. Do not use. They do not know how to treat professional companies that want to do business with them.
When you simply ask that their tech call in to check in from the location, which is standard protocol especially for a job that is at a bank, the response was "uh.. hold on.....".
Cancelled on the job the morning they were to show up. Very unprofessional. If you do use them, get everything in writing first.
EDIT: As you can see from their response. Unprofessional. I don't think they realized they just shot themselves in the foot with their response.
We work all over the country with various plumbers, electricians, and other trades. We've never had this kind of issue with any other "professional" company before. It's not jumping through hoops when the security of a BANK is involved which they were told was were the work was to be done.
Would you trust just anyone going into a BANK to do work without some type of check in system? Would you trust the bank that did not require such?
This company just proved on by their own admission, in their response to this review, they cannot be trusted.

Mike was very professional . he diagnosised our problem which turned out to be somewhat complicated due to additions to our house, but he quickly figured out the solutions , picked up our new water heater and made the necessary repairs to make everything work all the same day at a very fair price. This is why we always call this company for our plumbing needs!

On Site Professionals are fantastic. They get the job done, don't make a mess, and take care of business. Scheduling and billing on the other hand are why they get a 4 out of 5 stars. I got a call from the billing department today saying we had an outstanding bill from 2 months ago in the amount of $1,200. This was the first time I was hearing about this bill from 2 months ago which I assumed was paid. Now, let me be clear, I understand (and the rep made it clear) that they likely had reached out multiple times - but this was the first time it was being brought to my attention.
Normally not a problem, but then the rep added, "if this bill is not paid we can put a lien on the property." This irked me. Again, to be fair, she said it in as kind a manner as she could muster, but I still felt a tinge of "attitude" which may or may not be present. And when I said, "ok no problem, let me check with my wife why she signed for it and didn't pay you - and also I'm looking at my bank statement and see a payment to ANOTHER plumbing company in the same date range, let me check that out" she responded again with "we reached out multiple times and if you don't pay we can put a lien on the house."
I understand the importance of reviews. I also believe in giving honest reviews based on my personal interaction with the company. This is not the first time I called them and got a representative that came across as snippy or "had better things to do" or defensive for the company to the point of making me, the customer, feeling inferior, incorrect, and small. I believe the company overall is a good, solid, local company and I would recommend them to others, hence 4 out of 5 stars. I hope they continue to work on their customer service, especially when scheduling and collecting bills.
PS within 5 minutes after hanging up, I checked my account, checked with the other company, and my wife and confirmed the bill was not paid and promptly returned to Sewell to pay the bill.

I had a water leak this morning by my backflow protector. I called a few plumbers and they were all too busy. The receptionist at Sewell said they were extremely busy, but she would try and get someone available. Three hours later they turned up and had the job done in no time at a price I was happy to pay. I hope I will not need a plumber again, but if I do, I will definitely call them.

We have used Sewell's two times recently- for our backflow valve repair and for low pressure in our bathrooms. Both times we had excellent, honest service and were not overcharged. Hunter came out on a Sunday evening when our backflow was broken and we had to shut our water off. He was timely, thorough and followed up on the job! We were so appeciative. We called them back out to fix our pressure problems and Tyron came out right on time and magically fixed everything in no time at all. He checked everything I asked and gave explanations for my repair problems. I felt I could trust them and they were friendly and dependable! Would definitely call them again!

By far, the best plumbing company in this area. They are a tad bit expensive, but worth every dollar. Plumber's are exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. I only call Sewell's for my plumbing needs

Called to have an estimate done. Needed a dry well installed for a washer to be relocated about 20 feet away. They came out, looked at the job, never heard back from them. Called a week later asking if they forgot about me, woman on the phone told me they are "still working on my estimate" and that it was a "very complex job" so they owner had to do the estimate. I asked that he call me to review as there are a few ways this could be handled. Brian refused to call me. Instead has her call me and says "they'd prefer to give you a verbal estimate versus written, for the tune of close to $9000." I have no idea what that even includes. But a dry well is as simple a system as it gets. I'd never use this company again.

Sewell has come through for me twice, with excellent results. They are responsive (we know how rare that is!) and more than reasonable with prices. Tyron went above and beyond to check and replace the valve on other fixtures after one failed. Thoroughly professional, I will gladly use them for my rental properties.

So, after having 3 water leaks in one week we unfortunately knew we'd have to repipe our home. We were referred to Sewell Plumbing.
Alyse was extremely pleasant & very helpful when I called & quickly arranged for Tyron to come by for an estimate.
Tyron & his crew repiped our home last week. They are a hardworking, conscientious & meticulous group of plumbers with great attitudes.
My husband & I are very pleased with their workmanship & are very happy to share the great experience we had with them & the Sewell Plumbing Company as well.
PS: They also clean up after themselves : )

Midnight Friday, I found a large leak between my water meter and my backflow. The county had to come in and shut off the water at the meter.
I called the answering service at 10:00 on Saturday morning and Sewell’s got back to me in 30 minutes. Half an hour later, Michael was at our door and did an excellent job. He was prompt, professional and cheerful. Our water was back on by 1:00 PM
Sewell’s will be doing all my plumbing jobs from now on.

Family members had used Sewell’s
Plumbing so we called them first to have them come to install our hot water tank. We were very happy with the installation and the installer Tyrone.They did an excellent job. They arrived during their time. And called to tell us they were on the way.

I installed a new garbage disposal and within a day or two my kitchen sink was not draining properly. Tried to solve myself without success. Sewell plumber - David to the rescue. After checking my install was ok.... went over all to discover I had a stoppage. Very through and I am a very satisfied customer. Will call them again and refer to neighbors/friends.

Hands down the best service in Bradenton! I never met such hard working, professional, passionate people in my life! They take great pride in what they do and it shows in their work! Their pricing is unbeatable compared to other plumbing company’s ! If you need any plumbing work done, call the sewells, they’ll do the job right the first time, and in a timely manner. When I first called, they were booked up for a week. They soon called me back the same day, saying they had an opening and would come give an estimate.
Not only did they give an estimate, Tyrone fixed the issue that day.
Unlike other companies, this company seems like it's actually trying to do their jobs correctly. Highly recommend.

It was Christmas Day and I called since water was backing up into toilets and the bathtubs. The call went to the emergency number and she told me someone would be here within 1-2 hours. We were very surprised when our doorbell rang in less then a hour. The young man was polite, professional and had are drains cleaned out with half hour. Thank you for such a wonderful experience so we were able to still go see our children in Tampa for Christmas.
