I had recently bought a used integrated amplifier on FB Marketplace. He was a hobbyist collector and through conversation had recommended Vincent @Audio Workshop for any repairs needed. I was also looking for a used turntable and stumbled on one I liked...turns out it was Vincent selling. Vincent talked to me at length to find me a great TT. I brought it home and it has been working beautifully. Over the next few weeks, I had kept in touch and with Vincent's help I ended up with an amazing vintage Optonica amp and new speakers. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and happy to share his knowledge. He was incredibly patient with all my questions and even let me bring in my speakers to compare to a new pair of Wharfedales he sells (which I did buy). If you are in to vintage gear at all, his shop is amazing and he also sells new. We are lucky to have such a great resource local. Thanks again Vincent, I am loving my new to me equipment!!
*Edit - I forgot to include, he even builds custom gear. He let me demo a tube amp he built with my speakers. Sounded incredible and hope to one day have a space I can fill with more audio STUFF.

Vincent serviced my Conrad Johnson tube preamp. Great job, sounding great. He advertised a used Macintosh preamp on FB MARKETPLACE. I was considering a new preamp and drove up to see it. While there, he played a tube preamp he designed and had made for him. There were just a few. Once he played it, I was flabbergasted, absolutely stunned at the incredible sound, clarity and soundstage. He suggested I take it home and listen on my audio system. This changed my world. My B&W matrix 802s never sounded so good. I’ve owned them since 1994. Price was great, quality better.
Vincent is highly knowledgeable and knows his business. Don’t hesitate taking your equipment there for service, or to audition used gear he’s put into great shape!!

Vincent has been a big help getting my vintage 1985 Sota Star Sapphire turntable back spinning vinyl again after 20+ years being damaged and missing.
Sota was instrumental supplying the parts needed to refurbish the unit. Vincent helped me with a tonearm wiring issue. It turned out to be a bad connection to one of the cartridge pins. A little patience and Vincent's expert soldering got the job done.
I'm super happy! Sounds amazing and the new Denon 103R cartridge isn't broken in yet!
BTW Vincent is turning Audio Workshop into a vintage HIFI outlet. The old school stuff is amazing! STILL...

I will follow-up once I have my system wired and my Yamaha speakers blaring, but I did want to post a review on my interaction and communication with the owner since it was totally first class. I researched vintage stereo repair shops and decided on Audio Workshop given the overall great reviews and then a neighbor recommended it as well so I felt good going in. Gladly, I was not disappointed since Vincent and his team thoroughly exceeded my expectations and his pricing model is reasonable. Yep, Top notch! Now, I am really looking forward to flipping the switch and reliving the early 80’s when I was a young Airman stationed in England. …Thank you Vincent! //john

Not one to leave reviews , but was disappointed with my service. They were unable to fix my issue, a wobbly platter, which is not why I’m writing this. But after picking up my turntable and inspecting it there were greasy finger prints left all over the platter and underneath it, they also returned it with cheap felt slip mat that was not the one I brought in with it. (Why I even brought it in I don’t know, but it was given to a friend and had some sentimental value). The shop was also not very organized, when I asked where my rubber platter was he grabbed one off another of the same model and told me he believed it was mine. Both gentlemen I had the pleasure of speaking two seemed knowledgeable and were very nice. Regardless I felt strongly enough to write this and will not be returning back. I don’t think it’s bad shop but I did not have a good experience.
*update after taking it home I was able to diagnose and fix it myself*

I drove from Venice FL to Audio Workshop in Bradenton to drop off and pick up my vintage JBL speakers for repairs. Their excellent service and quality work made the trip well worth the time and travel. Vincent was helpful, friendly, very knowledgeable, and it became obvious that he regards quality above all else. He replaced the surrounds in both woofers, taking care that they were perfectly centered. He used the correct glue, and gave it time to cure unmoved in the proper position. In the process of the repairs he noticed a small crack in one of the mid-range speakers and repaired it free of charge. When I picked the speakers up, he played them for me in the store, and they sounded great. He even loaded them into my car. His price was reasonable and I feel confident his excellent work will last a lifetime. In the future Audio Workshop will be my go-to place for all my electronic repair needs.

Vincent and Tom did a fantastic job on my Adcom 555 Mk two amplifier. The amplifier was working perfect but it’s such a good design and sounds so good that I thought it was worth it to put all new capacitors in because of its age. Perfect work on the amplifier, it is more stable now because the capacitors were in the power supply, and it might even be better than New.. Definitely worth putting money into the older quality stuff, sounds wonderful and the shop is so cool to browse in For the quality pieces they have. They are my go to place?

I took my Sansui AU-7500 amp, a fixture of my youth, into Vincent at Audio Workshop not expecting much. It blew, due to my youthful idiocy, back in 86' when I was in college and I have literally carried it around with me all over the country for the last 38+ years in hopes that someday it could be fixed. Surprisingly, Vincent said it was fixable, but it might take a while, which I had no problem with. I picked it up totally refurbished yesterday, hooked it up, and it plays like a dream. I literally got goosebumps, because music through this amp is a night and day difference to any AV receiver today that I have heard. Thanks Vincent and to anyone else, who helped you bring this beast back to life. I hope to listen to it for the next 30+ years. The neighbors are going to love me about as much as they did in 1984!

I contacted Audio Workshop to ask if they could help me repair vintage JBL speakers and advice on replacing aluminum electrolytic capacitors in a 1970s stereo receiver (recapping). Vincent was very accommodating, helped with ordering high quality capacitors and did the repairs on the speakers, at a reasonable price. He also provided me with guidance and demonstrated some techniques for me at the shop. I'm grateful for the time he spent with me to ensure success with my projects.

Aquired a very nice Pioneer SX950 receiver. I wanted to be sure that it was up to specifications, so I contacted Audio Workshop. I talked with Vincent and we discussed performing a complete reconditioning. I agreed to having the work done. A few weeks later, the work was completed. I went to the shop and Vincent had the unit connected and ready for a listen. Sounded incredible and far exceeded all expectations. Clean, punchy, powerful, and dynamic. I thought that perhaps the amazing dynamics had something to do with the speakers that were at the shop, so I was eager to get the unit home and connect it with my own equipment. Well I'm ecstatic about how the system performs. I now spend way too much time listening to all genres of music on this incredible system. Just about everything sounds better. I'm rediscovering my vinyl collection. Thank you Vincent. Great job!

I'd been having a problem with the tonearm cord of my turntable for months and no one could seem to know what was wrong. Vincent solved the problem in about one minute! I didn't have to drop it off either. He looked at it as soon as I brought it in and solved the issue. Great service. Highly recommended shop.

Vincent did an outstanding repair for me on a premium headphone cable. He had estimated a price but the work took longer than he expected and he only charged me his original quoted price. Very knowledgable fair and plesant to deal with. Treated me right!

Have been out of the stereo scene for a while. Jumped back in last year. Twenty plus years ago I dealt with Audio Workshop. They really done great work. My debut this time around was equally as well. Will return again and again. They can order new equipment as well. A hidden gem in Bradenton.

Excellent customer service. Hard working and honest. Dropped my reciver off with intermittent audio. Vincent performed a thorough inspection and voltage check. It seemed to have come back to life so we agreed to give it a try and if it stopped working , he would refund the repair charge. It did, he did with no hesitation. P. S. It's was a 1st generation hdmi/optical receiver so completely understandable. Thanks again for your efforts Audio Workshop.

Time Machine Trip.
Needed help with my 1978 Marantz receiver. Called Audio Workshop and Mario told me exactly what was going to happen, how long it would take, about how much it would cost, etc. I brought the unit in, and I followed up as requested. Picked it up and plugged it in, sounds as good as I remember. These guys are geniuses. In an era of disposable stuff, they know how things work and how to fix them the right way. Great work, gentlemen.

Have purchased several pieces of audio gear from Mario at Audio Workshop. He is a straight shooter and has some good deals on new and used equipment. Fortunately, I haven't had to have any gear repaired by the shop, but if I do I would certainly trust he would do a good job.

I can only speak to my experience of having this store recommended to me. I was looking for an affordable used record player. The owner was rude and asked if my budget was 500 or more and when I told him I was looking for something maybe in the 50 dollar range (on black friday!) and he laughed in my face and said nothing like that here. So I guess I'll go yard sailing and get one like in the shop for a ten spot like I've been doing for 25 years. He was make his living from repairs I guess.

For 40+ years I have had a nice, old Pioneer turntable, that I still enjoy playing. Recently, it began to have trouble with the automatic cueing and also with maintaining 33-1/3 rpm. Mario rebuilt the components as needed to repair that and also worked to eliminate a rumble that was being picked up by the needle and amplified. Plays and operates like new again. Never sounded better. Thanks guys.

I brought in a pair of Vintage Klipsch speakers that were handed down to me as a gift from family that passed away. One speaker was not producing up to par as the other and i took it in to a major manufacturer to get looked at and they told me it would cost more than the speakers are worth to fix it after parts and labor.....I brought these speakers to Mario at Audio Workshop and right away he knew what the problem was and that it was a very simple inexpensive fix. I am enjoying these speakers now more than ever! I will for sure be going to see Mario next time i need help or have any questions about speakers.

Brought my TEAC reel to reel (circa 1977) to Audio Workshop for a once over and couldn’t be more pleased. Mario took the time to explain all that was done to get my machine running as good as new. He put in a little extra effort that was well worth it. Make Audio Workshop your 1st choice. You won’t be disappointed.
