I canβt say enough good things about Valerie at Woof Happens! I asked her to board and train our puppy on very short notice and she was quick to accommodate us. During that time, she helped tame our rowdy puppy, and train my husband and I to be more consistent pet parents. She was very communicative, highly skilled, and flexible with our schedule. Plus, sheβs super kind and considerate on top of all that! 10/10 would recommend for anyone with dog training needs. Weβll definitely be using her for all of our boarding needs in the future!
My husband and I are retired and we were so excited to have found Valerie, of Woof Happens, to help us train our 5 month old Havanese puppy! What an enjoyable experience it has been! During our 7 sessions, Our puppy, Cookie, learned the basic skills of being a wonderful and obedient dog. We loved getting a lesson plan with objectives at every session. We also received an email after each lesson, reviewing the days activities and things we needed to practice. Valerie spent lots of time with us. She is very organized and is excellent in her ability to teach us how to implement the strategies taught in each lesson. She is so patient with Cookie and with us, too! If Valerie knew of a product that Cookie would benefit from, she was very quick to email the information to us along with a link indicating where it could be found online. Valerie is a joy to work with and offers a variety of services that your pet may need. She even offers boarding! We plan to keep working with Cookie and will look at the many other offered services available in the future. Thanks to Valerie, we are on the way to having a fabulous, fantastic and obedient 6 month old puppy. So thankful for finding Valerie with Woof Happens!
Dog training is not for everyone.
There must be a clean spirit and a big heart for the dog to accept it and for it to respond and the new rules that are being taught.
Valerie with her knowledge and charisma not only trains your dog but yourself, since you were doing things incorrectly.
With only 3 weeks I have a new obedient and calm dog.
I know that with time I will be able to go anywhere and she will know how to behave.

We are so happy with Valerieβs expert training. We left our 4 month old bernedoodle puppy with her to her board and train program for 3 weeks. She took excellent care of Bree and Bree loved her and her family . She taught her basic obedience and also some other little things. She was in great shape when she brought her home to us . She said she will be there for us if we need her for anything. Valerie did an amazing job with our golden retriever puppy, Daisy, and we couldnβt be happier with the results. Daisy came back well-behaved and still her sweet, playful self. Valerie clearly poured so much care and expertise into her training. She kept us updated throughout the process and gave us clear guidance for maintaining the progress at home.
Valerie was absolutely amazing with our senior dog while we were away. She was very detailed and professional. She provided us with full updates at every visit including photos of our pup, verification that doors were locked and that here water was always filled. She was also kind enough to bring in our Amazon packages that were delivered while we were gone. After we had returned she even followed up to check on our sweet girl. These little things are huge in our opinion. We will absolutely be using Woof Happens again in the future.
Valarie really helped me with my 2 year old german shepherd/husky mix, Lucky. His behavior has improved a lot. And she helped me correct him at the vet where his aggression was mostly triggered. Now I can take him to the vet without worries!!

We highly recommend WoofHappens. Our dog Stella was very well taken care of, got lots of daily pictures, went for walks and played with the family pets. I had never had a puppy before adopting a 4-month-old shih tzu, so I contacted Valerie at Woof Happens. She coached us through those challenging several first weeks. Bailey is happily adjusting to being a wonderful addition to our household. Additionally, by taking Bailey to Woof Happens for boarding, I am worry-free when he is unable to accompany me on trips away from home.
Valerie is absolutely amazing at what she does. We have a new puppy and weβre struggling to figure out how to even begin training him. Valerie was amazing. We have a 100lb chocolate lab who is only 15 months and although a good puppy was in need of some training. We opted for the 3 week boarding training. Each week we had a visit you could see the improvement. By the end our dog was a different dog, followed commands, calmer demeanor, and was just all around better. My pup had been boarded and trained with a different trainer and I took her back for a refresher but my pup would just not seem to listen once we were home. She would bark at everyone and even worse when there was a dog nearby. Our walks were not enjoyable. I reached out to Valerie and she was able to see that she was being very reactive and not socialized properly. Valerie took on the task to correct the bad behaviors and also properly taught me and my girls how to continue training my pup and any corrections that were needed. Consistency is the key and now we both enjoy our daily walks. I canβt thank Valerie enough for helping both Luna and my family.
We fostered and adopted two - three year golden golden retrievers. Let's just say that they were a bit on the wild side at first, not sure if they were ever walked on a leash. After three weeks of training with Valerie / Woof Happens they have become the best. Her methods of positive reinforcements with simple, consistent and firm commands worked for us and them. Yes, we were trained as well! She is the "Dog Whisperer". We highly recommend her services. We will also use Woof Happens services for boarding.
Val has done an amazing job training us and our 1-year old Golden. She was very patient with us and she was amazing with our dog. We needed last min care for our beagle and it felt amazing on how they cared for our dog. They cleaned the cage when the dog did an accident in my home. I granted them access to my home and they were respectful and very good in communication!! They sent daily pictures and accommodated to my needs. HIGHLY recommend!! They did boarding for our dog and one at home visit.

Valerie is awesome. She trained our 200 pound English mastiff and did a fantastic job. We can now take him anywhere at anytime and not have to worry about him misbehaving. She was very patient and kind with our big baby. We would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a dog trainer

Valerie has been helping my mother train our puppy, Chloe, for the past 4 months and was able to teach her all of the essential things a she needed to know to be trained. I am back home for the summer and will be taking the pup back across country. Booked a 10 day trip to Colombia and then my wife got the puppy itch and we adopted 2 puppies. Needed to board my puppies, and I wasn't looking forward to it.
I have had dogs in the past and we were always able to have family stay in the house and doggie sit for us. But this trip we didn't have that option.
I found a local small business in my community that provides boarding and training. And Valerie was amazing, they sent us updates multiple times a day. Responded promptly to our messages and questions. My female puppy was showing signs of a UTI and the team was on top of it for us.

We hired Valeria for seven lessons for our pack of 4 pups she is fantastic, professional and takes great pride in what she does. Ivelisse was absolutely amazing with my pitty mix! This was my first time ever using a dog walking service so was a little nervous but she by far exceeded my expectations! She took him for long walks and played with him in the yard. She updated me promptly after each trip and sent multiple pictures each time. I will definitely be using Woof Happens again!
Woof Happens took such great care of our dog while we went away for the weekend. Mochi sometimes doesnβt want to eat while we were away and Valerie sat with him until he felt safe enough to eat. How do I know this? She has an amazing app that she sends updates with photos at each visit. We will definitely be using her again.

We are extremely pleased with the training and boarding experience our puppy, Zorro, received at Woof Happens. Zorro was 3 months old when we enrolled him in the three week Basic On Leash Obedience Board and Train program. The results have exceeded our expectations.
From the start, the trainers provided a balanced and structured approach that was well suited to Zorroβs temperament. He now consistently responds to core obedience commands and demonstrates noticeably improved leash manners and overall behavior at home.
