Very inflexible. Poor communication. Dismissive toward patients. Had an appointment that was canceled accidentally? by a staff member. Showed up and the front staff and supervisor said they would not see us. Would not recommend getting care here. I’ve never seen a doctor’s office turn away a patient. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise.
It's like herding cattle. Very impersonal, providers really dont care. It's as fast as they can get in and out. There was one ARNP that was good, but she left. I've since seen Mr. Cuestos and Dr. Amos but again, it's in and out.
Impossible to get an appointment with a doctor, then wait months to get appointment with PA or APRN and since they constantly leave the practice each one treats you as a new patient and have to discuss entire history again and again. Evidently the providers don't write notes or they don't bother to read the previous visit notes. Unfortunately not many options in my area
I am very happy coming to see Dr Brilmier at this location, everyone is friendly and helpful, wait times are minimal.
I usually try to give all medical clinics a chance before deciding to not return. Although the facility is clean and the staff is kind, as a patient I feel as though the concerns for my health were not taken into considerations by the physicians I have been seen by.
A few examples are during my first appointment, I had expressed concern about stress and anxiety due to Postpartum Depression; I had asked for a referral. When asked by the PA how many kids I had, I responded with three to which he responded with, "Three! You don't have time to be depressed." I understand that it was meant as friendly banter, but it was a comment not necessary at any time and very unprofessional.
Another time I went in for a sinus infection. I had expressed to the PA that I have also had pain in my ribs that have become more agitated with coughing. The PA gave me a quick diagnosis and said to discuss it further with my primary, then rushed me out the door.
Whenever I visit this clinic, I never feel as though my concerns are heard and that the PA's are doing their best to rush the appointment. Personally, I feel like I get better attention at the Urgent Care up the road than I do here.
Horrible experience here. Had an appointment today and they cancelled it and didn't even tell me. They knew I was suffering from gastritis and having side effects from medicine given to me and they still turned me away. Not only are they rude, and disrespectful but they have no empathy. Why would they allow people like this to continue working there ? Front ladies and nurse Nicole specifically.
My Husband is a patient of Dr. Lewis Lopez at this location. He really likes Dr Lopez and the doctor without a doubt knows what he is doing. My problem lies with getting the prescriptions refilled. My husband was hosptialized in late August and I made a follow up appointment while he was there. Unfortunatelly we couldn't get in to see Dr. Lopez so I opted for his Physician Assistant Wilson Cuesta Hoyos. We were not very pleased after being seen by him as we felt that not all our concerns were addressed. A month later I am more displeased, I am rather upset. My husband has heart issues and at the hospital some medications were stopped and others added. Perscriptions were filled by the Tampa General Parmacy with no refil as my husbands cardiologists do not have privlidges with Tampa General (husband was taken there via ambulance). Because the meds were not filled by Publix they have no record of them and therefore would not request refills. Refills are needed now and I called the Tampa General Medical Group, Apollo Beach. to get them refilled. Wilson Hoyos had reviewed all the medicine changes at his follow up appointment and I would have thought those would have been updated by the Hoyos. The prescriptions are showing in my husbands mychart but when I logged in to request refills the option wasn't available. I called the office and I don't think the staff I spoke to even bothered to look up my husband's chart. I explained the issue and the staff's first question was if my husband had been seen by their office for the post hospitalization follow up. She said that the doctor would only update the prescriptions for my husband after he was seen. My reply was that he was seen and that we actually did go over all the changes at the appointment. At this point her job would have been to open his chart, confirm the follow up appointment and follow up with the midlevel to get this rectified. She never offered, just told me to call the Tampa General Pharmacy to get the precriptions transfered. I did call the TGH Pharmacy and, because the hospital cardiologists did not write the prescriptions with refills they could not be transfered. Understandable. Thank God I called his cardiology group and they are filling the meds for him with our preferred pharmacy. My last comment to the staff at the TGMG, Apollo Beach, office was that it is quite obvious to me that Wilson Hoyos did not do his job correctly and that I was going to write a scathing review on google. Her only commnet was "OK". Horrific customer service! By the way, this is NOT the first time I have had prescription issues with the staff.
I don't know what to say. They have yet to help me and I'm very healthy. But everybody needs some help now and then. Oh well
Waiting on a response for an entire week now. Getting a simple prescription refill has been impossible. After sending numerous text through MyChart as well as calling here we are a week later and still no progress. The messages are being “viewed “ so I know they are receiving them. The ladies at the front have been really helpful however, they can’t refill prescriptions. 24 to 48 hours to process a request is equivalent to a week and counting I guess.
I wish there is an option for no star.
I am patient with Dr. Amos and I needed appointment to see her but the guy who is handling medical questions department is super rude .
He never bothers to check if appointment is available? He never returned call from doctor, he just sitting on phone and not even answer what you are asking for!
As an existing patient you don't get appointment if you are sick.
They don't even bother to reply my messages on my chart.
Pathetic customer service from that guy specially who is handling medical questions.
And they really don't care about their patients too.
Terrible...
I waited 4 months to get an appointment for just blood work, only to find out they wont take cash payments. If you have insurance but dont want to use it and just pay cash so they dont charge you more and get there kick backs they wont take you. Unreal, sense when is it bad to just pay cash, its because there more into the kick backs and ripping off the public through the biggest scam in the country insurance.
Called office inquiring about the need for a vaccine on Thursday and am still waiting for a call back from Dr Amos. This is certainly not an emergency, however, I would expect the Dr to call back. After being on hold today for over 40 minutes, I drove there and asked at the desk what my expectation should be for a time frame of call back, she said they have up to 72 hrs!!! Doesn't seem like a reasonable time frame to me. I did verify each time that the Dr was in and was advised that she has the info. I have also waited unreasonable times for a call back after blood work has been done. I will be looking for a new primary
Dr. Louis always figures out my problem. I went to 2 urgent cares, one ER visit and none of them could figure out why I am having bad headaches. He did and since then no problems. He may not be always available to schedule visit, but I rather wait and have a peace in my mind. Great place!
There is not an option for no stars. I went there last week for a sick appointment. Dr lopez is incompetent. I had wheezing and rales for which he stated he heard. He totally disreguared the fact that I have asthma ( even though it's in my history) and sent me home with an inhaler and a diagnosis of an uri, no chest xray, no antiobiotics. I was coughing up mucus in the office , but Dr lopez was much too concerned by my weight than the real reason I was there. I AM A NEW PATIENT and boy did he make an impression. I had to go to an urgent care yesterday ( 3 days after seeing Dr lopez) with the same symptoms and after a chest xray , I have bacterial pneumonia . Total negligence from lopez . Just to think he could of cared more and diagnosed me right the first time it would have caused me a lot less pain and suffering. I wasn't in enough "distress" for him.... How about now? Please avoid at all cost!
I just wanted to take the time to highly recommend Dr. Luis Lopez! He is amazing and cares for his patients! He listens to all my concerns and calls to check how I’m doing after me telling him two days ago that I wasn’t feeling good. Thank you Doctor Lopez for all you do 🙏🏼 …
I had to change doctors due to my insurance so I ended up seeing doctor Lopez as a new patient. At my initial visit he decided to take me off thyroid med and another med, without having seen my charts, prior bloodwork or anything. I didn't feel as a patient I was taking part in my care but being told what was going to happen to me without a say in the matter. I won't be back.
This place bills for services not provided. Office manager agrees to remove the charge and the next thing you know I'm being threatened to be sent to collections if I don't pay it. I've never seen anything like this before.
I have to say we love Dr Amos she is amazing and always get to the point what we need to do next just the appointment part she is hard to get in
I'm super disappointed in the call center for this office. They screw up and they don't care.
My wife went there for congestion in her lungs the doctor told her they were clear I could her her wheezing from 5 feet away. We are going else were.
This place is sooooo slow & understaffed. Avoid this urgent care if possible.
Great Doctor. Never a long wait to see her.
Poor response time, disorganized, poor follow-up.
