Add this is by far the worst I’ve ever had the disclosure of living in. It’s bad enough. I’m a domestic violence survivor going out on my own again for the first time, this place has been just as my relationship. After living there for almost 2 months, I have a front door that still doesn’t open, an obvious legal and safety issue! There is a horrible cat pee smell from the previous owners that they have yet to rectify. They told me to move all of the bedroom things into the living room so they can replace the carpet and it has remained there for over 2 weeks now. The work order was put in July 6. They were supposed to replace the drywall. After removing the bottom 6 inches of drywall from the room they did a black light test and saw there was still urine on other parts of the wall. Instead of removing those parts, they just replaced the drywall that was already taken out and didn’t no additional work. They then put aside a new apartment for me, only for me to be told today that they actually had rented it out to someone else. Issues are not even attempted to be solved unless I go down there in person. I have had several work orders closed without any work actually being done. It’s been less than two months and I could go on and on with my disappointment. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!

I moved into to the Heritage Apartments around September Shinika helped me and my family. She was extremely attentive polite and extremely caring the entire staff at the office is nothing but professional and helpful with anything you need I really love living here I enjoy walking around the beautiful property and going to the lake/pool I highly recommend these apartments anyone looking to live in a quiet relaxing environment this is the place.

We’re supposed to have valet trash here and yet for the last month- we’re lucky if we even see anyone come back to collect our trash. Especially if you live in the buildings towards the back side of the complex. The raccoons will knock over the cans and tear apart the bags. Any calls attempted by mom just go ignored or they never respond. It’s ridiculous.

They don’t tell you this but this place smells like weed constantly all night long. They’re worried about how our blinds look and charging us fees for empty trash cans but they let the weed smokers in here do whatever they want. The real eye sores are the joints laying on the patios not the storage.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I’ve been living here for three years, and it’s gone completely downhill. Everything was fine until management started letting in the worst kind of tenants. My next-door neighbors are a nightmare, constantly fighting late night, slamming doors at all hours, and ignoring every lease rule without any consequences. The smell of marijuana floods my unit, and despite multiple complaints via phone and email, management is nowhere to be found. At this point, I don’t even know who’s running this place.
These same neighbors leave their trash out on days they’re not supposed to, attracting raccoons and creating a mess that you practically have to beg maintenance to clean up. There’s an app for the trash schedule, but does management communicate that to residents? No. Instead, they send out some vague email that does nothing because they don’t enforce the rules in the lease. Attached a picture of my entryway with my neighbors trash all over the place.
Pest control is nonexistent, yet we’re still charged for it every month. The common areas are disgusting, littered with dog feces, and the so-called “gated community” is a joke. The gate hasn’t worked since I moved in, meaning literally anyone can come in and out, resident or not.
It’s clear this place is desperate to fill units with no regard for quality. Seems like they’re handing out Section 8 vouchers. If you’re looking for a safe, clean, and properly managed place to live—this isn’t it. Stay far away!

I had an appointment to tour this place since I am looking for an apartment to rent in Bradenton. I received two emails from them before my appointment telling me that they would be eager to show me how "beautiful, safe, and clean" the place was. Well, I got there a few minutes early and the front door to the lease building was locked, which I found odd since it wasn't lunch time, but I waited outside until a young lady came to open the door. She then told me that there were a few apartments available right now, we mentioned the security gate since it was open while I was there. She told me that they were about to put in a new gate, and of course they charge $50 for an access device, even though they don't have a new gate yet....... Hello!!!! What??? Then, to my surprise, when I said I wanted to see an apartment, she told me they couldn't show it today, but only on Friday because it wasn't ready yet. So some of my questions are: why did they send me two welcome emails before my scheduled appointment if they couldn't show me an apartment? Why didn't they tell me before I got there that it wouldn't be possible for me to see an apartment today, but that they could reschedule for Friday? Why did the employee tell me right at the beginning that yes, they had apartments available right now and then minutes later tell me that the apartments weren't available yet? According to her, this must have been the manager's instructions...... HUH where are the owners of this place that they don't see what's going on there? Where is the proper training for the employees? Where is the respect for those who change their schedules and arrive on time and even early to take the tour? Where is the adequate and acceptable customer service? Where is the manager who sends messages but doesn't show her face? Of course, if I had read the reviews beforehand, I would never have booked a tour with the Yacht Club. I failed... but I learned! After reading all the reviews, I understand why this place is going downhill. I can only say that if the owners don't open their eyes and change this management as soon as possible, I feel very sorry for the residents who still live there... very sad. I want to stay away from this place... and I think you will too!!! Be smart and read the reviews!!!

DO NOT RENT HERE!! Our lease has been a struggle ever since we moved in. They have nice staff but it’s like pulling teeth to ever get anything done around here. We have had a list of issues but the one that takes the cake are all the pot smokers!!! Constantly very morning and night our apartment reeks of marijuana. Our kids rooms are the absolute worst with the smell. They don’t care to fix the issue or confront neighbors that are being a public nuisance. All due to them being a “smoke friendly” complex. We have told them time and time again, with calls in the middle of the night(which you now can no longer make) and talking to them in person in the lobby that they need to confront the smokers and they just tell you it’s not their problem cause they’re “smoker friendly.” My poor babies shouldn’t have to sleep in a place where junkies get high every night and the smell seeps in! I should’ve listened to the reviews before signing a lease here. There is also definitely mold in the windows and it took 2 months for them to even get somebody out here to take a look at it. I truly feel like I’m just throwing away money at this point living in a garbage of a place.

COCKROACHES!!! For the entirety of our lease, we lived with not just a few...but an INFESTATION of German cockroaches!!! Building (5). DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Property manager wouldn't let us view the unit the day of move-in, found out why as we found many baby roaches along with dead ones in all of the cabinets.....contacted the office immediately and began weekly treatments for a while with no luck...INCLUDING 4-5 "cleanouts" overall from two different pest control companies, which still didn't get rid of the problem. They are clearly inside the walls coming from other units? I also heard the roaches were a problem in many other buildings from a few different sources!!!
At one point, our treatments came to a halt with NO notice, and we couldn’t get a response from anyone at the office so I contacted their regional Northland office which took forever to finally get a response from Brenda. Turns out Terminix was no longer working with The Yacht Club (suspicious) and they were now using American Pest Control.
11/12 months we paid for, until Northland FINALLY paid for our last month's rent so we could clean and take the month to move out our belongings to ensure that we didn't bring the roaches along with us. Overall WE PAID over $18,000 ($1650/month for a 1B1B) to live in a roach infested apartment for 11 miserable months. We were hurricane lan transplants so we couldn't afford to move out. I've never lived like this before, and couldn't be happier to be out of this disgusting apartment.
My hopes for this review is to inform other families of the nasty living conditions we entailed at the Yacht Club at Heritage Harbour so they don't have to go through what we did. We had so many other issues but when I hear of this place all I say is "cockroaches."
***Health department can only check vacant units and the OUTSIDES of buildings. This place should be shut down IMO.

Heritage Harbour golf course is back in action. The greens are in great shape and rolling true and fast.
