Pete has done annual service on my boat and recently installed a new trolling motor. He advised on the right brand and size of motor for my Grady White and sourced the motor and all the parts. Install was timely, as was communication. He even built a special shelf for my lithium battery in the center console. Unfortunately, I broke the stabilizer mount on the first day. Pete came out a replaced it at no charge. Highly recommend!

He admitted up front that he was no expert in my MicroCommander electrical gear shift system, but he told me about a fellow electrician (Dan) that he could bring in on the job. Pete has done a couple jobs for me including power pole install and fuel system issue. He is very professional , does a great job and very reasonably priced. I moved to this area about 2 years ago and needed a go to mechanic.I won’t hesitate to use him in the future.
Pete went above and beyond to get my Power Pole Move installed. My boat has a raised lip which required a riser, pulpet and bracket. Luckily Pete made up a custom riser to get the job done. He ran wire and installed everything efficiently. Highly recommend. 👍

We just want to give a shout out to Peter from Rum Coast Mobile Marine. My wife and I highly recommend Peter and his business! He installed a Rhodan 120 GPS trolling motor for us. My biggest concern was the mounting of the unit as well as where the 36 V battery would be stored. The scheduled date for the installation just happened to fall on the day we were going away on vacation. This was not an obstacle for Peter. We were reassured that we would be pleased with the installation, the product and his craftsmanship. Peter was timely, neat and communicated with us as to how the installation was progressing, and was texting pictures without request. Pete arrived promptly at 9am and worked for the next six hours--not only replacing our shift cable, but also our throttle cable as well.

We recently had Pete do some work on our new-to-us boat, new trim tabs and struts, larger bilge pump, and adding a 3rd battery. After 50+ years of boating and doing a lot of work myself (with education/help from a marine mechanic friend) I'm a fairly good judge of quality work. Pete did a fantastic job, everything was neat and professional, properly bedded, quality parts, etc. He did the work when he said, at the price he said.
Pete did the 300 hours service on my Yamaha 115 (4 stroke). Great communication and fair pricing. I also had him redo my dash and electrical connections on our Scout. Turned out nice and so much better than the old faded/cracked inserts. Definitely trust Rum Coast to do the work right!

I don't write reviews but I had to for this project. I hired this company to install all new electronics... radar, sonar, chartplotter. The install was professional, clean, and done with attention to detail. However, through no fault of the company, the unit we got was buggy at first and we couldn't get everything to work properly. In fact ALL of the 3 main components had issues. Pete Hernandez stuck with it, stood behind his work, talked to customer support, came back a few times, and got everything working beautifully. 100% of the issues were due to an overly complex and undocumented operating system on the unit. It's pretty rare these days to find someone who goes the extra mile, and this company most definitely did that.
Pete did a great job. He was able to figure out my hydraulic steering problem and was very fair with his hours and pricing. I have recommended him to my friends.
