I went and got my haircut on Friday by Tracy and I mentioned that when Teresa cut my hair, I really liked it and we just needed it reshaped I did cut the sides a little bit because I lost so much hair, but the back of my head really did not need to be cut like this. This is cut close to a mullet and that is not what I wanted so not what I wanted. This is what Teresa did to my hair and we just needed a touchup. Teresa told me to come back in two months. I made an appointment then had to cancel because I haven’t seen my mom in two years and she was gonna have a flight coming to Florida after I canceled my appointment. My mom had to cancel her flight and I was so upset because I had canceled my appointment so I made another appointment with Teresa. I was running 15 minutes late so they told me I had to cancel. I’m meeting my mom on Wednesday and now I needed to get in so I saw Tracy. I am so discouraged. My self-esteem has just been shattered after 10 years of trying to get my hair to grow. Teresa understood this so she didn’t cut much. She did a great job and cut it the way I wanted it and she even was able to blow dry it the way I usually blow dry it but when I went back, Tracy just went scissor crazy and took it all off. The top did not need to be touched. It was the bottom part that needed to be blended in. That was all. Like what is up with that crooked haircut in the back of my hair that’s so short compared to the rest oh my God I’m so embarrassed Even though I cut a few strands off the sides of my hair, just below my ears there was no reason to cut my bangs as short as they are. My bangs and the top of my hair were ok. There was no reason to cut the back as crooked as she did, just absolutely no reason. I did not cut my hair in such a way that she needed to do this to my hair at all. I’m so embarrassed to go out of the house. I don’t want to be seen in public. This is going to be a long time before I’m able to get out of the house again. I’m really not happy. I had a $400 treatment in my hair and now it’s all gone. I just can’t even express how upset I am.

I am a new resident in Venice and was looking for a good hair stylist. Was recommended to Simplicity and regret ever going there. I went for a color and hair cut and the pic below shows what I left with after a second attempt/visit. The cut was supposed to be an A-line cut with dark tones underneath??? I don't know what style I left with but the the other picture shows what it was supposed to look like. The second visit I paid $115.00 + tip (not including the first visit for 40.00 + dollars) and then I had to pay someone else to fix it. My husband was also seeing the same stylist we will not be returning. I was also going to get my eyebrows done there but based on this situation I will keep looking.

Maria used wax to clean up my brows afyer attempting to do them myself... They look so much better!! She was kind and careful, which is important to do a good job. Highly recommend this salon & specifically Maria for your brow needs!

I have been coming here for almost 4 years now. Salon is very clean and beautifully decorated. It's like a one stop shop for our beauty needs. Everyone is friendly, professional and great at what they do. I highly recommend Maggie for hair, I am always happy when I leave:)

Friendly staff, large salon that offers a variety of services. Clean and well organized. I didn't have an appointment but didn't wait long. Good pricing and they give a 5% discount for cash! My mani/pedi was well done, very neat nothing sloppy here. My ONLY complaint is the way they did my pedicure. I'll post a photo so you can see. They do not have a foot bath! They use a copper looking basin filled with hot water. It was pretty tepid by the time she started my pedicure. No soothing leg massage with lotion etc. It was very simple. I didn't ask for the deluxe pedi as I just assumed every salon did at least a little massage so that part was not particularly relaxing. Other than that I enjoyed it. Depending on how long my polish lasts etc. I may or may not return. I'm just trying some new places nearby because my regular salon has gotten so bad.

This has been my go to hair salon for years! I visit Maggie, she fixed my hair from a disaster many many years ago and I won’t see anyone else! All of the staff are warm and friendly. I highly recommend this salon!!

Moved to Venice in 2017 from Long Island, NY. I have been searching for the perfect salon , haircut, and colorist since moving here. I have tried many. I am so happy to say this will be my forever salon! From the time you check in until the time you leave you are treated with great hospitality! Chelsie did an amazing job with my haircut , color and added a few highlights around my face that I had requested. Oh, did I mention the amazing scalp massage or the stool they put under your feet to take the pressure off your back from your legs dangling 😳 I have never had this kind of treatment! I went to Simplicity Salon and Day Spa today for the first time. I was greeted warmly by all of the staff, and had a wonderful mani - pedi by Robin. She offered me a glass of wine and some cookies. She even gave me a heating pad for my aching neck Robin did a great job and I will definitely be going back!

The ladies here are all highly trained, professional, and down right enjoyable to be around. You never feel like they are talking about you after you leave, which is hard to find in itself. To top it off the owner treats all her staff well and takes care of them. Highly recommend.
