I was in such desperate need of getting my birds nails done. I saw in the reviews on here that someone had taken their birds, so I called and was able to get in. The owners were very sweet and super welcoming. We went into a private room with no dogs and barely any noise. The woman was fantastic and ensured that I was there the whole time with my babies. Will definitely be coming back here soon! Thank you so much!!

Today was the second time I took my senior dog to Rain Dogs for a grooming. The owner-groomers made a big fuss over her, and warmly welcomed her back. They did a magnificent grooming job, and were very patient with her. The salon is very cozy and beautifully decorated. I could not be more pleased, and highly recommend Rain Dogs for your pet's grooming needs.

What the owner replied with on my previous review is so wrong. We’ve been happy with every cut and have always asked for feedback on our dogs behavior. Today was so out of the blue and our dog is rarely matted. Not sure what happened today. I would have gladly paid the additional cost if I had been told when I picked him up.

Been going to RD every month for +1 year. VERY happy til today. Each time, I ask "how did he do?". Never had negative feedback. A few times, asked RD to adjust face to fuller cut. Today, he came home looking really wacky and my wife called. Owner said he acted up today and was very difficult. We apologized. 5 min later, she called to say "we're letting you go because he ALWAYS acts up and you are a bad fit for us...also - I should have charged you $100 (instead of $75)". She suggested we go somewhere else. That was a very sad interaction.

After a disappointing experience with another groomer, we were referred to Rain Dogs. They groomed two of our dogs on Sep 29, 2023. The staff was very friendly and I was able to provide grooming instructions to each groomer. While clearly very busy, their interactions with me were not at all rushed. They called me to pick up the dogs in less than two hours (better than the stated 2-4 hour window). The cuts were exactly what I requested. I made new appointments for all 3 of our dogs based on this very positive first experience.

A great groomer!! I took our deaf 8yr old rescue dog that we recently adopted and I believe suffers with PTSD for her first grooming since her rescue. She's very frightened of new people so I didn't know what to expect. They were so patient and willing to give her the time she needed. She came home clean and looked so nice. She was very happy to see me and yet she wasn't totally freaked out either. We have appointments for the rest of the year. Great place and reasonable priced.

Update* I’m just seeing this response. I was definitely at your establishment. Your response fits your hateful demeanor in your business. I assume who I spoke to was the owner. She was not very nice. As I filled out paperwork she and her husband were needlessly aggressive. My older bichon got a brush out for $50. She was happy when she left an hour later. It was fine. I came back the next day to have my puppy bathed. There were probably 10 dogs being dropped off at the same time. I asked if my pups bath would be an hour and was told, rudely, that it would be 2-4 hours. When I said that didn’t fit in my schedule, they were aggressively rude. I feel I was lucky with my old girls brush out. They seemed very comfortable being aggressive and rude.

First time walk in 2:30 on a Friday. Trimmed my mini-pin's nails for a fair price and we were out the door in less than ten minutes. Very happy with nail trim and friendly groomer.The other dogs I could see in their care appeared happy and well cared for as well. A clean and pleasant shop. I will return.

For the past 6 months my 2 small dogs have been groomed at Rain Dogs to my full satisfaction. One might think the owner has OCD because the salon is neat as a pin and equally cute. Have you ever taken your dog to a groomer who keeps it a good half day? Not here. Grooming is promptly done with a small dog like mine usually there about 2- 2 1/2 hours. You can check the grooming in real time via a salon camera. Real cool. Owner is a sweet, friendly professional. Give them a try.

This place is amazing. We took our 20+ pound cat here for a nail trim. You're thinking, big deal, a nail trim. The problem is that our 20+ lb cat can have an extremely nasty and dangerous disposition with anyone outside of our home. This makes us nervous that he will scratch, bite or otherwise hurt someone providing him care. The folks at RainDogs Grooming expressed no hesitation to give it a try over the phone. When we brought him in they treated him so gently - quickly making childs play of his long nails. We can't thank them enough for being willing to attempt a nail clipping and doing it so kindly. They know what they are doing and we are very relieved and thankful.

I have a wooly husky. Long hair, double coat, sheds like crazy! We've been in Panama (Latin America) for the past 8 months. Long haired dogs are not common there. Vets will "groom" which is essentially bathe your dog. Juneau hasn't had a proper grooming in all this time. We tried, seriously, we did. It would take me an hour, and I would get 1 leg done (total newfound respect for groomers!) We booked him with Rain Dogs after doing quite a bit of online research and we couldn't be happier with our choice! Poor dog smelled bad, the white part of his coat was yellow and he was completely matted. To say he would be a grooming challenge is an understatement of epic proportions. Rain Dogs gave him 2 shampoos (goodbye smelly dog) and cleaned out his undercoat which couldn't have been an easy task. They put cotton in his ears so water wouldn't get down there. They did this without us even mentioning that water gets in there and he always ends up with an ear infection! Then they cleaned them with lavender! Juneau has some sensitive spots, which they acknowledged, but they dealt with everything that we threw at them, and it was a lot! They actually said he was welcome back (which is probably not anything I would ever have said). I honestly cannot recommend them enough! It is very clear that they love dogs there. They are patient and kind and you will not go wrong by choosing Rain Dogs for your fur baby!

Love Raindogs! My miniature schnauzer always looks perfect with the traditional breed's cut that they do so well. He is a barker and the staff knows just how to handle him! He is cared for and safe and loved while there. I appreciate that the dogs have free run and they are not caged while waiting. No reason to go anywhere else.

I had my Standard Poodle groomed here for the first time on Thursday at a cost of $110.00. When I got home I noticed that his tail was a bit fuller than I like, so Friday a.m. I called at 9:15 and left a message asking if I could come in and get the tail taken down a bit. I phoned again late morning and left another message, neither were returned. Saturday morning I called again with no call back. I’ve had this dog groomed by many groomers and on a few occasions needed to bring him in to be “touched up”. I have never had someone not return repeated calls. There a lots of groomers in the Venice area so I will not be back again.

This was Oskar's first time to Rain Dogs. I let the groomer choose how to trim Oskar and I couldn't be happier. Short in all the right places, but long enough elsewhere to be cute and cool for summer. They were also very sensitive to his anxiousness.

On their website it clearly states they specialize in senior and special need dogs. Our senior dog came back traumatized and injured. It is clear they were not gentle with our dog and even commented that he would need pain pills. What groomer says that. Be weary and do watch on their web cam.
