I have been going to Lisa for my hair for over 10 years. I have had various cuts, colors and styles. When I suggest a certain cut or color Lisa always takes the time to explain professionally why it won’t work. She is usually right. She is very professional, knowledgeable and listens to you with what you want for the cut, color and/or style.
She even worked with me and my hair while I went through Chemo. She is very patient and kind!!

I had the pleasure of Lisa coloring my hair an ombre grey and black/original hair color, I called and she got me in immediately, she did an amazing job and I am obsessed with they way my hair looks now. I am a cosmetologist but can't do my own hair, I am picky about the way it looks. She took her time and gave me what I wanted. Lisa is my mom's stylist. My mom is going through chemo and Lisa is so patient and understanding and kind. My mom loves coming to Lisa. She prayed with her and just makes her feel wonderful. Never judges, Lisa has lots of compassion and empathy for my mom and i so appreciate her. She is an amazing person and I think if you need a place to get your hair down, go see Lisa!
While I think Lisa meant well, I had a horrible experience last week. My hair was the exact same color/tone when I left the salon as it was when I walked in. I didn’t explicitly say that I wanted a full trim and she said she would just “dust it” which I was fine with because I didn’t want to pay for the full cut. I was charged for both a toner and trim and I’m very disappointed with the results. Lisa was kind but I don’t think she is very knowledgeable and she was not helpful in guiding me with what I wanted.
*BE AWARE* My experience with Lisa (owner) was dreadful. Perhaps she was having a bad 2 days...all I know is I wasted $42 on my worst hair experience in 58 years. She very confident in her 20 years of experience, but failed in two attempts to cut my hair. As a new customer, when I arrived for my appointment, she was blowing out and fixing HER her hair (confusing). Lisa never measured to see if my medium length hair was even and cut a curve in the back that was not asked for. I was never handed me a mirror to look at the finished product either visit.
At home, I was shocked to see a 1" too-long pieces around my neck due to the longer-in-the-back cut. My hair was also noticeably 3/8" longer on one side Made second appointment to correct the cut. Bad decision!
I arrived by appointment, a co-worker was doing Lisa's roots! Practical use of time, but unprofessional in my opinion. Don't know why i did not walk out. With a drape on and color in her hair, she wacked off 3/4" the uneven side WITHOUT CHECKING the other side first. Shop is dirty & cluttered with LOW light..
one couldn't see the cut even if she had shown me. I'll NEVER go back. *BEWARE*

LOVE IT!! The salon is very cute and Dani was very helpful with walking me through everything she was doing with my hair. She’s very accomodating with upkeep and gives budget-friendly recommendations. They do nails, eyelashes, and even have homemade, organic skin care products that one of the ladies makes at home. Finally found a forever salon!

The online booking is pretty awesome, as it means no phone-tag on either side. Lisa being open and available on New Year's Eve was also a major thing; I'm surprised, to be honest, given the quality of service, that she wasn't booked through, but perhaps the online booking whooshes over the head of the normal Bradenton resident? I don't know.
The salon is easy to find, though parking can be a bit awkward (there's not much space between the road and the parking spaces). Oddly, the window-signage doesn't show up on google's street view, but rest assured, it's there and there'll be a board outside when the salon's open. The salon proper is rather nice, design-wise, though I didn't see the nail booths in the back area.
I went for a downdo for a swing dance New Year's party. Lisa was very friendly, made good conversation, and was willing to look at and discuss various styles to see which would best suit me and the outfit I was planning to wear. After testing to make sure my hair would hold the curls, she spent about an hour and a half making sure that the style was what I wanted and fighting a few stubborn curls. It looked great -- not utterly perfect, but I never expect that of my hair and I'm not sure it'd actually DO a Dita style without flyaways! -- and I asked if she had time to do makeup.
She did, and I got a great many compliments on it and the hair at the party/dance. She spent a lot of time on it, beyond what she had to or had estimated, which I greatly appreciated, and she got the period/vintage look down pat when I hadn't provided makeup examples.

My 11 year old wanted a wolf cut and they did a wonderful job, we dont get many smiles out of her now that shes a preteen so that was great. lol they also cut my 3 year old sons hair. I have gone to at least 5 other places for my son and none of them have cut his hair the way i have asked. I didnt even need to show them a picture and they got it right. Salon uptown downtown has our business <3
