This marina has the best location and Gulf access. Its kept up well and the Dock Master, Stewart, who has over 25 years of knowledge is very professional and helpful. Your boat is safe and secure here at Island Yacht Club.

This is the best marina in the area. I've had my boat here for about 5 years and I can't say enough great things about it. Stewart, the dock master, is not only helpful with whatever I need. He is friendly as well as professional, but also just a great human being to be around. The marina/club is clean and well maintained at all times. We went through a couple of hurricanes last year. It was brought back to life in an organized and efficient way fairly quickly, considering everything that was happening around the are in general. The vast majority of people that store their boats here are friendly and helpful if needed. I have had nothing but a great experience here and will continue to stay here as long as I can. They have great amenities here, such as full bathrooms, laundry, fish filet station, screened in area with seating, TV, as well as a grill if you would like to cook out. They have a bicycle rack to store your bicycle if you want to go to Clearwater beach or anywhere else in the area (only old school bicycles allowed, no electric.) Stu (dock master) as I call him, has bags of ice for purchase always ready as well. The marina is "gated" so to speak, so there aren't any random people coming around. I feel like my boat is secure and watched over when I'm not on it. Overall, I can't be happier to have my boat here, period.

I’ve had my boat here for just around 1 year and I can already tell I’ll be keeping this slip for a while. The community here is great, it’s a wonderful advantage to be able to talk to all the other great sailors and boat owners here and listen to great stories. It’s quiet and calm. When there are people visiting- everyone is always considerate and helpful, saying “hello” and always willing to share their time and adventures with you. The dock master Stewart has gone out of his way for me, to be insightful and helpful, before I ever even owned a slip here. He would do the same for you. He’s always had a respect for the people and places here, you can tell in his interactions with other boat owners. This marina has a great community feel and has a serene peacefulness in the mornings.

Island Yacht Club in Clearwater is a well managed and clean marina with friendly people.I have always felt safe and secure in my investment. The Dockmaster- Stewart is knowledgeable ,dedicated to the marina,super easy to contact and has been a great help many times over the past six years.

I’ve owned 2 slips since 2015 and couldn’t be happier with the cleanliness and safety. The dock master Stuart is always attentive to property and slips. If I saw something not looking good, all you have to do is report it and he takes the time to respond and or fix appropriately. Over the years he has assisted me with any questions or repairs to my slip.I can emphatically say the whether you’re an owner or renter, you will be treated with respect. If you’re looking to rent or buy, please stop by during normal business hours, you won’t be disappointed

Had a boat at IYC for several years. Wonderful community! One of the best privately member owned marinas in Florida. You will find Stewart, dockmaster/manager to be knowledgeable, inviting & friendly. He is solely responsible for keeping the facilities ship shape, maintained, clean & well run.. to that end every detail is well above board. Highly recommend..whether you're looking to purchase or rent a slip you can rest assured you've chosen well! Paid a visit to the marina today.. better than ever!!

We’ve kept our boat here 12 years and have always been pleased. Facilities are well maintained. Neighbors are quiet. Beautiful scenery all around! We live out of state and know our boat is safe between visits. Dock master is always helpful and courteous. I feel safe in this marina when here without the hubby. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a place to dock.

Another happy slip-renter here! For anyone who lives far away from their boat and can only use it several times a year, it’s important to have a good relationship with the Dock Master. Stewart is a wonderful Dock Master. We are so thankful that he takes care of our boat when we are away. He’s great with coordinating boat repairs, etc. I think he is the reason why it’s so hard to find an available slip at Island Yacht Club!

This is an amazing place made even more amazing by the professionalism and knowledge of the dock master Stewart! The bathrooms, laundry room, gathering room and basically the entire marina are all kept in tip-top shape due to Stewart’s work ethic and abilities. When entering the marina you will be greeted with a kind “hello “ and “is there anything I can help you with?” from the dock master. I spent a great deal of time searching for a place like this and to be honest, this is beyond my my greatest expectations!

I purchased a slip at Island Yacht Club several years ago. My wife and I enjoy walking around the slips, using the clean facilities and talking to other owners, who have fascinating stories about their life advantages of boating. This is a great place because of the people and the helpful Dock Master Stewart who is always assisting the owner’s with whatever we need. Happy to be an owner at this pleasant Yacht Club.

Have been working in this marina for over 15 years and was inspired today to share my experiences. This is truly a hidden paradise in one of the most beautiful areas of Clearwater Beach/Island Estates. Everything from the quick access to the Gulf, beaches,restaurants and festivals. I work in all of Pinellas County marinas and Clubs and this place is the true feeling of home and relaxation. Friendly people with great knowledge of boating and experiences of travel and local waters. The Dock master Stewart has gone above and beyond to make sure this place is a great friendly safe atmosphere. Docks, boardwalks, roof for covered slips, lights, etc. are inspected daily . Bathrooms and laundry facility is always clean , as well as the large Lanai. Which has a TV , sink, coffee pot, microwave and table to sit around and enjoy others boaters company with a BBQ right outside. Stewart is always there to help with anything and all repairs. His amazing leadership was proven when Hurricane Irma came through in September of 2017 and damaged several boats, roof to the covered slips, docks, pylons, and electrical. This marina was repaired quicker than any other in the area because he made it his top priority for the safety and livability of his fellow slip owners/renters. No other marina compares to everything this great place offers, and I've worked in them all. Thank you for always welcoming My Divers and I.

Island Yacht club is a fantastic boating place, it’s one of the very few covered marinas around, is a very well maintained and run marina. I have owned a slip there for over 40 years, Stewart is the Dock master there, always very helpful professional and concerned about your boating needs, always keeping up the marina to a highest possible level, simply a beautiful place for boating, you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I owned 3 slips at Island Yacht Club for over 30 years. We have shared the good and bad conditions at the marina including the devastating fire back when maintenance was lacking. Maintaining a marina, especially one that is over 40 years old with wood docks and roofs is a never ending full time job. The dock master has to wear a lot of hats and deal with the needs of many different owners and renters. We have known the dockmaster, Stewart Tayman, for over 30 years. He is absolutely professional and committed to his job. There will and always have been a very small percentage of owners and renters who find fault with how the marina is run, but they are definitely the minority. Island Yacht Club is a great facility in a beautiful location.

I rent a slip there, love this place ! The owner of my slip and the dock master are great. My lift malfunctioned in a bad rain storm last year and Stew came out in the storm with me and got my boat level and helped me in a big emergency for sure. Also got me a lift repair man out asap as I do not live in town. Is so nice knowing someone is keeping an eye on the boats there. Makes me sleep better at night.

I have been doing business at Island yacht club For a decade and it is one of the best run and maintained marinas in Pinellas county. Stewart The Dock Master is professional and always there to help anyway he can. The marina is clean and always a pleasure to visit and do business at. Truly one of the hidden Gems On our coast.

My dad placed his Chris Craft Cruiser in a slip at Island Estates Club Marina. This goes way back into the history of the Marina. At first he was renting but then he bought a slip when the Marina was legally transformed into condominium. My dad was a traveling salesman and really knew people and their qualities. He always committed to us that we could trust the doc master with any problems. He said Stewart is a REAL HONORABLE MAN. There never was a time that that he called the Marina and couldn’t speak directly with Stew. My dad told me to remember this, “Swift and Consistent Great Communication is the key foundation that businesses are built on and run on.” Stew is the man.

My wife and I have been keeping our boat at IYC marina for 11 years. The marina is beyond amazing. It is a clean secure facility with well-maintained amenities including laundry, showers and restrooms. The marina is skillfully managed by the dock Master Stewart Tayman, a friendly and experienced professional who is always ready to assist you with docking needs.

I have friends that have owned a slip in Island Yacht club now for over 10 years. This place is great especially the docmaster Stewart. I have known Stewart for 10 years. He is always the nicest guy and is willing to help everyone with anything they need. I would highly recommend this yacht club to anybody.

Island Yacht Club is a wonderful community of active boaters within walking distance of Clearwater Beach. As one of the original owners when Island Yacht Club was developed in 1980 (40 Years ago) I was on the board of directors. This is my insight of those years as follows concerning the dockmaster position. Over the 40 years of ownership I've seen both good and not so good dockmasters. Stewart Tayman our current dockmaster has been with our club approximately 24 years. Over the years I have seen Stewart rebuild many roof structures and docks, repair docks and bathroom plumbing, electrical outlets on the docks and rebuild our fire hose boxes to save IYC the cost of the expense of new boxes. Over the years he also completely rebuilt our community screen room in addition to daily cleaning of our restrooms. During the stormy hurricane season I've seen Stewart come to the marina on his day off and work side by side with the owners to help retie lines and pump out boats. He also handle the day to day dealings with contractors and owners problems. To sum up, I think Stewart over the years has done an excellent job as dockmaster and I am glad he is working for us. Also the board of directors supervise the dockmasters position. Over the 24 years there have been many different boards and all appear to be pleased with his performance.

Clean, a private club with a gem of a location. Covered slips, open slips and an ability to get to open water fast. Would recommend renting here. Ask for Stu, I was looking at this place and without him my family and I would not be able to enjoy such a great , safe place.
