Small and very packed store. When I went the owner was outside the store talking with friends so the store was alone. I loved that though since it was very quiet and relaxing browsing through the boxes.

Guys working were so cool! When we walked in, they were catching up with a regular, but as soon as we needed assistance, they immediately stepped in to help, and were extremely personable and fun to talk to. We chatted casually while shopping like we were old friends, which I thought was cool. And that’s saying nothing about the selection of figures!! The prices were already beyond fair, but on top of that, they had a sale going on so I left super happy about my purchases! I have my eye on a couple of other pieces that I intend to come snatch up in a couple of weeks. Huge selection of comics, too. It’s a small space, but more of a selection than I've seen in other shops. 💚

This place was awesome. My kid and I had been to another store before this one and had a bad experience so, when we walked in we expected the worst. We shopped around and found something we wanted; these dudes were friendly and engaging and had plenty of information on their inventory. They answered all our questions and made us feel right at home. Even got some of our purchases on sale. If you're looking for a cool place with lots of inventory, go to Nerd Out and tell em Suzie sent ya!

Long time customer, first time reviewer. In fact, I can't believe I haven't already left a review! I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Nerd Out Comics is not your typical comic book shop; my favorite thing about Nerd Out is that they're approachable. I quit reading comics when I was in middle school and hadn't thought twice about it until years later when I was a grown adult. Comic shops can be overwhelming if you're an outsider, but Glenn and company welcomed me in on my very first visit! I only wanted a gift card for my buddies' birthday, but here I am, I don't even know how many years later, and I'm back in the game with a weekly pull guaranteed to always be there for me. Thank you for having my books, thank you for the incredible recommendations, and thank you for always being there.

I was impressed with the store even though crowded. Comics, Action Figures, Cards, Video Games, etc. Everything was great until check out. Owner was having a sale and overcharged me $30. Don't know if it was intentional or not but didn't offer a receipt to double check. We still got a good deal with the sale but since we got took for $30 won't be back. Hopefully everything works out for them.

I've been to a lot of comic book shops in my time, and Nerd Out is hands down the best of the best. Always a steady stream of back issues, toys, and other related collectibles. A wide range of new comics every week ranging from Spiderman and Batman to small indie comics and everything in between. Always super helpful and friendly staff, welcoming people from all walks of life. Absolutely worth making the trip.

Absolutely blown away by the selection here. You won't find a better comic book store for miles and miles. Huge selection of indies which is my preference. Great guy that runs it as well. Definitely a customer here for a long time!

I used to give my stuff to this place in exchange for cash and one time he said he could take my stuff but agreed to pay me later. I trusted him and he put my stuff on display before paying me. He did pay me but, he pointed to a videogame I gave him and said "This is worth money" to which I reminded him "That is one of the games I gave you to which he responded "No it isn't, my friend gave me this one." I didn't argue and walked out. Never give anything to this place!

Glenn is the proprietor. Was in the area for a doctor appointment and stopped in. Good music, good variety and depth in back issues. A few CGC graded items. Boxes aren’t overstuffed and there’s a bench to sit on while searching. Everything nicely labeled. I was here a good hour and it was worthwhile. If you’re into toys and new issues he has a bunch of that too. Several $1 boxes for kids. I’d visit again.

Environment: The building looks like its about to collapse, it absolutely reeks of cigarettes, and the music is so loud you won't have to worry about talking to the owner (?) because you won't be able to hear the conversation which brings me to my next point; Customer Service: Don't bother talking to the owner(?) because you might get a finger pointing in a general direction and that's about it. Prices: If you're looking for specific back-issues then do some market research before you go. Prices in this store are top end and/or made up on the fly. Overall this store is 100% adult oriented and fine for someone who knows exactly what they want, where to find it, and how much they're willing to spend on it. If you're looking for a way more positive experience, just Google 'Comic Books near me'. There's plenty of other shops in the Tampa area, many on bus routes and every type of neighborhood you can think of.

Just like the title, it's a place to Nerd Out in comics. Knowledgeable staff & SO many comics you could spend hours there going through the collection. If you want to trade, looking for a specific one or just want a new storyline to read this is the place!

Love this place. Picked up a couple silver age back issues and several other modern and classic comics. The girl that waited on me (I wish I could remember her name) was as knowledgable as she was lovely. I would shop their regularly just to chat with her. Highly recommend this comic book store. The shop has a fun atmosphere, there's a good assortment of comics and other items to browse. If the shop doesn't have it Glenn is usually more than willing to place an order for what you specifically are looking for. All the staff are personable and very helpful.

The person inside was really cool. He talked to my friend and I about a lot of different topics and it felt genuine. I'm also not a big comic book reader but since I was there browsing I decided to purchase a good variety of their $1 comic books so I could come home with a few nick nacks for the little ones.

great shop, don't follow the google maps; it takes you to a residential location. the shop is located on Hillsborough. Also, make sure you check out the sale shelf. there are great deals between 20% - 40% off.

This is a comic collector's comic store. They have thousands of back issues, cases filled with key issues & CGC slabs, tons of statues, pop vynal toys, & a wall of graphic novels. All at reasonably fair prices. If you haven't been there and you love comics, check it out. I'm sure you'll walk out happy! I always do.

The store is ok the guy that works there is no help we walk in doesn’t even say anything. My wife asked how much something was and he said very rudely the price is on there and then went back to ready his comic. I guess he’s not a people person and just lives in his fantasy land of comics
