Time and energy I’ll never get back… Drove almost 40 minutes to what I thought was a great place to find some Pops I’ve been searching for — three, to be exact. When I arrived and told them what I was looking for, I was immediately told not to trust their website, as it often shows items that have already been sold and are no longer available. First disappointment. Then, I spotted the one I wanted the most. It looked great — until I turned it around and noticed significant damage to the back of the box. As an in-box collector, this was a huge letdown. I get that things sell out before they can be marked "sold out" online — even big franchise stores have that issue. But I’ve been checking their website for weeks, and these Pops were still listed as available. As a collector-focused store, you’d expect better — at the very least, disclose any box damage, especially with Funko Pops where box condition really matters to collectors. Already dealing with multiple disappointments, I figured I’d try selling them a few Pops I had. Big mistake. If you're thinking about selling to them, get ready for some GameStop-level lowballing. Right before I brought out the Pops, I noticed they had one of the exact same ones I was going to sell — priced at $40. Mine was valued at $25 (which the employee even confirmed after looking it up), so I thought maybe I could get at least $20. Especially since I had two he valued at $25 each… Nope. I was offered $12. 🤦🏻‍♂️ And don’t even get me started on how both employees ignored me the entire time — just watching anime, barely acknowledging my presence, and acting like I was bothering them whenever I asked a question. Yeah… that was my first and definitely last time going there. Just a heads-up for anyone thinking about making a trip — especially if you're coming from far away — be mindful of all this. You might be better off ordering from Amazon and risking some box damage. At least there, you can get an easy refund instead of wasting your time, energy, and patience.

This shop is definitely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone that collects Funkos, Loungefly, comics (of course) and other types of collectibles. While I’m more Disney driven, my kiddo prefers the anime so we spend QT at the comic book store. The staff is always polite and helpful; never a problem. In actually, the owners are pretty great!! They are always goi g the extra mile for their customers!! Family-owned so you would be definitely supporting the small business community. They have other social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram to keep customers updated and informed. It’s a weekly spot for me nowadays! Yep

their hours are inconsistent. the sign on their door along with their listing on apple maps says they close at 6 on tuesdays, but google says they’re closed. they also have it listed at they’re fully open for business on mondays, but i was told verbally that they only go in for however long it takes to finish packing stuff, and we were the last customers at around 1pm. fix your hours. will not be returning.

Not just comics, the Comic Spot is the best spot to find collectibles. Funko pops, Star Wars figures, neca horror figures. I have personally spent over $1,000 just on Godzilla related stuff. And the bonus is, the more you spend, the bigger the discount. If you're a collector, this is the place to go

I ordered quite a few Funko Pops from the Comic Spot. I actually was drawn to the website looking for a specific item, though I ended up ordering multiple items based on the variety of items available and fair prices. The items were shipped in a timely manner. I knew I was in for a good experience when the package arrived and I could not feel any movement inside. Funko Pop collectors well know the perils of shipping, though this particular package was packed with such a high degree of care that all of items remained in mint condition. Each item was individually bubble wrapped, then the empty space in the package was filled with AirPlus. I was genuinely impressed. Thank you Comic Spot!!!

So unbelievably happy with my order from Comic Spot! I ordered a funko pop keychain on 5/27 and it arrived in perfect condition today. Communication was excellent from my order confirmation, an email with tracking information, and finally the delivery email today. If I lived closer (I'm in Georgia) I would definitely shop in person. Until then- I will certainly order again online!

Only giving it four stars because it's a pretty small store and it's mostly pop vinal figures plus I came there for cards which they do not sell Google lied about it being a card shop but pretty interesting shop so I'll definitely be back to shop in the future

We highly recommend Comic Spot! Not only lyrics is the staff friendly and helpful .. they make you feel like part of the family! Professional and knowledgeable plus patient with my silliness. We had a wonderful time browsing the store and buying all of the things! They were having an epic black Friday sale and they also have a rewards program which was a nice surprise! They had bins of loose funko pops and other figures at very reasonable prices which was such a blast to dig through! I wish we bought more! We are already planning our next trip! We drove 1 hour 42 minutes and it was worth every mile! We are long time followers and now huge fans for reals! Thank you to the staff for making our experience something we are still talking about! ❤️

AMAZING COMIC SHOP!!!! Comic Spot has a large variety of collectibles, such as statues, POPS, Loungefly bags, figures, and of course, COMICS! Been going there for 4 years now. My wife and I love their Store Exclusive Loungefly Bags. Great prices and very knowledgeable staff. Definitely worth stopping by and checking them out. Finally, a comic shop for everything!

Walked into this store just to see if they had a specific gift. Upon entering the store, we were pleasantly surprised to find they were SO much more than just a comic book store. Spent over an hour in there, and over 100$. Yeah, more than just comics. Y daughter and her boyfriend then went there later that day. We probably have over a dozen gifts under the tree from there! Military and First Responder discounts. Extremely eager to help staff, and they pay particular attention to those on the spectrum to make for an enjoyable experience for them as well. Long time customer here now!!

For my fellow Trade Paperbacks/Graphic Novels enjoyers- Decent TP selection. Not as good as Read More Comics, but better than most of the other shops in the area. And Free Comic Book Day they were 30% off.

Good selection of figurines. Staff was friendly enough. More certified graded comics than anywhere else I've been. Some back issues, few new titles. Back issues are expensive and they charge you for the bags and backing boards on top of the comic price (add $0.25 per title! Didn't find out until I looked at my receipt). I'm not used to that! Checked it out, but I probably won't be back. There are too many other stores around with better selection, better prices, and no hidden charges.

My favorite comic spot by far. I'm in there weekly and I gotta say I have made great friends with everybody associated with the shop. All the guys are awesome and always do what they can to help me out. I had a special request and while they were at a con they got it for me with no issues. They have a great program in place so you never miss those hard to get releases. I been going here for almost a year now and will continue to shop here until I leave.

I've started going to this place since the pandemic and began reading comic books again. The staff is knowledgeable and the owners are incredibly kind. They've always done their best for their customers and will work with you. There's always a great selection of funko pops (which is how I found them by pre-ordering). I sometimes just go to hang out and listen to stories from the owner Mike about experiences he's had at conventions. I can't say enough good things about them.

My husband & I drove almost 45 minutes away to the shop.. it was worth every minute. The staff was so helpful, & patient. Huge selection of Funko pops. We did a trade in, & they were fair with their prices. This shop is by far, the best comic shop we've been to! Can't wait to come back.

Warm friendly environment. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Funko pops were very well organized and didn't have to tear shelves apart searching for pops. Had a list of pops needed to complete collection and took the time to search any comic cons they went to for them. Wonderful selection of new and back issue of comics. Had a nice variety of statues. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Comic Spot for the wonderful experiences.

While I didn't buy anything from the store at the time due to impending thunderstorm I can say that the store while small is very well organized and clean. They do appear to have bookshelves labeled for "recommended picks" but it was empty at the time although I do look forward to what comics they'd recommend. Once I find a time when it's not raining I will definitely go back and go through the comics a little closer and hopefully be able to ask the owners or workers about their beginner's guide to comic books.

This store was very cool. A lot of collectibles and other things. They had a wide variety of Funko pops, and I even purchased 4 of them. Employees were very nice and helpful, and made my experience here much better. Would highly recommend coming here if you are a fan of comics, collectibles, and Funko pops!

We had an amazing comic shop in Georgia and when we moved to Florida we really missed them as there really is not any really good, consistent comic shop near us. That is until we found The Comic Spot. Really great shop with friendly owners/staff. We have set up a subscription pull with them to same money and they even now order comics we wanted that they normally don't carry! Only change I would suggest is to have the recent comics out on shelves and not in short boxes. This would make it easier to find the current runs back issues.

This is MY comic shop. It's run by a group of the kindest people. They're happy to recommend books based on your current pulls (comics you have set aside monthly) and have a great points system that will help you save on your orders and earn free gift certificates for the store. The store is family friendly and doesn't have the "Gatekeepers" that you unfortunately run into at many comic shops.

I came in over the weekend and I was greeted. They have all sorts of Funko Pops, Loungeflys, comic books and collectible figures. I was able to find some rare Disney Villains Funko Pops for a great price. I went to pay and was asked if I was apart of their rewards program; I answered no, but I wasn't offered to join after I answered no. That sucked because it would have been nice to been offered the rewards program. I dont frequent this place too often but when I do, it is meh.

Wow how have I not known about this place! I have to say they are amazing. The staff are AWESOME and they have a very wide selection of comics, Funko Pops, a figurines of anything and everything. They were extremely nice to my 5 year old who love and adores Spiderman and he was in complete heaven. 5/5 would recommend.

Owner is awesome, friendly staff, plenty of stuff to find you wouldn't find anywhere else. Comics, statues, action figures, you name it. Frequent customer here and will continue to do business here. A hidden gem in Gibsonton/Riverview area. A super clean store, not only filled to the brim with comics, funkos, Action figures, statues/hot toys. It has knowledgeable employees and they do everything in their power to help everyone.

Helpful staff, cool items, prices are great, even loungefly purses for the wife...so she doesnt get too bored with your reading habit....lol. Luckily my wife reads em too. We went here to browse and pick up a couple comics. The owner was very nice as we were walking in and extremely helpful with anything we needed. They have a big selection to look through and even have a section dedicated to new releases each week. Definitely plan on going back soon!

Amazing local shop! These guys are a full service location. They held a signing event with Mico Suayan, did the witnessing, processed and sent out the books to be graded. All of mine came back a 9.8 !! Having more books processed by them soon! The owners and staff and super cool, easy to get along with and have always taken care of me as a customer! My favorite shop in town!

John Michael is the perfect comic store guy! He is spot on with recommendations, knowing back stories, and knowing what direction things are heading. He is personable and makes every visit a fun one. When we talk about comics to anyone we always say "we have a guy". Store is great too, lots of pops and awesome selection of collectables and relevant back issues. They will even order things for you or point you where to go. Love the place!

Called three times over a period of 15 minutes, and not once did anyone pick up the phone. Ended up driving there and there the guy was right next to the phone. Almost everything was overpriced. Charged full price for figures that had severely damaged packages. Back comics selection was poor to say the least. The person who worked there was absolutely no help, and didn't seem to understand what I was asking for. Pretty much told me that even if I wrote down, and gave them my information of what I was wanting that they wouldn't bother getting it for me anyway since "There's just so many people who ask us to get stuff for them, and we can't be expected to remember all of them.". Other comic stores seem to be able to do that. That tells me I'm better off taking my business elsewhere. Which I will be. Not ever going back.

Used to frequent this place, never again. Got there 10 min before opening on the day a book was released, when they opened they had one on the shelf, $20 over cover price. I'm sorry, but that's a terrible way to do business. I'll take my business to Comics Club up on Kings, they are also a lot more friendly there. EDIT: in reference to the response I received, there are at least 4 other stores within 20 miles, not a single one was charging these prices for any variants. Give your customers a shot to get the book, give it a DAY before marking it up $20. Again, will not be back.

if you want new comics or comic or pop culture related merchandise, the store has plenty. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because I look for old comics, back issues, and weird books that I may have never heard of before. They did not have nearly enough in the way of back stock and odd or unusual comics for my taste.

Ooo my goodness!!!!! Honestly, this is one of the best comic/collectables store i have been to! John Michael, one of the owners, is super knowledgeable in everything comic or collectable figure. John Michael is also really friendly and great to talk to. They have tons of funko pops too!!! They have all their merch organized and it is super easy to find what you are wanting to get. They do pre orders for new and upcoming merch. A great place to hang out and to find really awesome treasures!

Okay, here’s the thing - I’m a pretty nerdy girl, but it’s notsomuch the comic book variety. I’m usually intimidated in comic book stores and have not generally felt comfortable there. I was next door to the Comic Spot at the Hot Tomato and was pulled in because they had a sign in the window I found intriguing - the guy behind the counter (probably the owner) was very welcoming and helpful without being overbearing and led me right over to what I was looking for (MST3K has a comic WHAT?). After I picked up the 2nd issue, he told me where I could find the 1st issue online and even looked on his phone to be sure they had it in stock. I would definitely go back - thank you! They had a wide and well organized wall of POP figurines, lots of collectibles, but it all felt really well displayed and friendly. I’ll be back!

Disappointed....took my 12 year old son to this store to purchase a funko pop of his choice, he seen one behind the counter that he wanted, didn’t get to hold the box told the cashier he wanted to purchase that one the man behind the counter rung it up immediately placed it in a bag and handed it over knowing there was damage to the box. Seconds after my son walking out the store he noticed the box was damaged on the back, seconds later after walking out he turned around to return the damaged funko pop and was told NO. Completely unprofessional, poor customer service, will never go back again and will spread the word.

This place should be called THE Comic Spot because it’s got everything from comics, funkos, figures, wallets, key chains, posters,anime etc. My boi John-Michael is a real 1, hes knowledgeable about everything comics related and pop culture. I could spend the whole day here looking at every item. Very friendly atmosphere and not the typical pretentious type like you see in some local comic shops. Also they got a rewards program, subscriptions, and grading system. Comic book artists have come to A Comic Spot too such as Jason Fabok and Billy Tucci with more to come in the future. Definitely worth a visit, highly recommended.

You don't have to be big into comics to find something you like. Like a song or a novel, there is a comic series out there for someone. Friendly staff member made me a huge fan of this shop. Definitely understood my taste and recommended me a few new series of action and survival series. So far, i really love "Nailbiters" (look it up) and "Cold War" (sort of a Battle Royale/Star Ship troopers vibe). Both recommend to me after a short conversation of what i like. Super convenient to the Riverview area. Seriously, you don't need to be a big reader to get into this sort of thing.

One of the worst pricings of a comic shop ive seen in a minute. Prices are way over priced and the staff is barely non- existent. I do not recommend this shop to anyone and would advise people to either go to a different comic/collectable shop for better pricing and for staff that actually want to be there .
