I love this place! Alexis is our current groomer but we’ve had others. They are very sweet & patient with our scaredy rescue dog! (She’s long haired in summer & short in winter & they do great with both styles!)

Sunshine City Pets in St. Pete is hands down the best place to take your fur babies for grooming. I’ve been bringing my pup to this same team of wonderful folks for six years (since she was a tiny pup!), and I can’t say enough good things about the team. The vibe is always welcoming and friendly, and the staff genuinely love what they do. It’s amazing to see them branching out on their own, and I couldn’t be happier to support their new independent venture. But don’t worry, nothing has changed except the name! It’s the same amazing owners and excellent management, the same dedicated staff, and the same welcoming community they’ve curated over the years. They treat my dog like she is one of their own beloved family members, and she always leaves looking fabulous and feeling great. It’s clear that they go above and beyond to ensure each pet has a positive experience. If you’re looking for a groomer that combines top-notch service with a cool, laid-back atmosphere, Sunshine City Pets is where it’s at. Highly recommend!

Just got my German shepherd puppy groomed here with Alexiss and I could not be happier!! I have had a tough history with my pup with a broken leg 6 months ago, surgery’s for his metal plate to be inserted and then again to be removed, he also had a bad bug bite on his back that was healing and it’s been a while since he’s been groomed because of his healing process took 6+ months. After going through those accidents it was tough finding somewhere I could trust and that could handle a bigger dog with anxiety (if you have a German shepherd, you know 😂). But they answered the phone right away and listened to me explain his issues and ensured that he would be taken care of and recommended the best groomer. I am so happy Alexiss and the team listened to all my requests and concerns to make sure my Mac was taken care of and comfortable. He got lots of love and treats and turned out exactly how I wanted!! I will be coming back from now on 😊💗

All the young ladies there are so sweet . They are really knowledgeable and care about your pets Alexis is special she treats my peewee and Luca brasi like their her own kids lots of love and super professional. I'm really pleased with sunshine city pets they are top shelf.

Highly recommended Sunshine City Pets for grooming! We’ve been bringing our 11 month old Bernedoodle, Remi, for a few months now, and we can’t say enough good things—especially about Alexis. We really appreciate how communicative she is and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. Remi always comes back looking and smelling great, and most importantly, happy. We trust Alexis completely with our girl and feel so lucky to have found someone who’s both skilled and so kind. ♥️

I cannot say enough nice things about this place! Finding Taylor and the team has been one of the best parts about moving to St Pete! I trust leaving my babies here all day with no issues at all. Best grooming and overall experience for them ever! I have two huskies in Florida full time and their groomer/mama Taylor is literally one of the most incredible human beings in the entire world. She makes their experience in this insanely hot weather so much better! She takes the BEST care of them and always takes her time to make sure their fluffy coats and teeth are perfect and fresh! Taylor even let me know about an ear infection they both had that I wasn’t aware of and always lets me know about anything else she sees on them that might be concerning. She’s amazing! We love Taylor so much and if you love your kiddos you will take them to her!! We live in Safety Harbor now and we still drive and always will drive as far as we need to just so the babies get the best care possible. Thank you to the entire team there as well!! Xo

Our mini doodle, Callie, loves going to Sunshine City Pets to get groomed! She usually just runs in the door (on her leash) to see her fabulous groomer, Alexis!! Alexis always does a fantastic job all around with our pup and she works her magic every time. She is very professional, so nice and loves our pup like she’s her own. She always greets with a smile and you can tell she loves her job! Our dog’s groom always comes out awesome!! Thank you Alexis!

I’ve been going to Sunshine City Pets (formerly Woofgang) for my dog’s grooming off of 4th street in St. Pete. I booked with Alexis (first time booking with her) but let’s just say she slayed my dog’s cut. I have a Siberian Husky and she was extremely patient and diligent with him. This is the best cut he’s had in a minute! Would highly recommend Alexis especially if you have a Wooly coated, high energy dog.

This place is the only place I'm ever bringing my dog again. And I do not live close. For reasons such as life being life my old lady Shih-Poo was looking rough. I mean ROUGH. We were so embarrassed about her lack of grooming we tried to fix it on our own and made everything worse. Finally an appointment was made with Alexiss. Alexiss was so amazing. I cannot say enough phenomenal things about her. When I cried because I was so embarrassed she was so kind and empathetic. I still felt awful, but she didn't make me feel anything but better. My dog had to be shaved completely. Alexiss took her time, comforted the dog, made sure to use the natural products and skin relief products, and so much more. My puppets hates her paws touched, usually she will nip at people or they won't do her law pads, Alexiss got her completely cleaned up with no issues. My dog even trusted and loved her. I've never met a groomer like Alexiss. She cares about the animals, she's not in it for and other reasons. I cannot recommend the wonderful groomers, I'm clearly biased 😜 but I do recommend this salon for all your needs.

Our dog Oakley LOVES his friends at Sunshine City Pets! He always looks incredible after a visit to the salon. We have had so many great experiences with several of the groomers. I highly recommend bringing your pup for a visit :) They also have a great assortment of treats, toys, and grooming supplies.

There are a dozen groomers closer to our house, but I'll drive the extra few miles for this group every time! We have been coming here for 2.5 years, and I cannot say enough great things about this staff. From Ashley and the team at the front, to our AMAZING groomer Taylor, Bowden and I always have a 10/10 experience. I love the new store since rebranding to Sunshine City Pets, they've gotten some really great new items like dog crocs. if you are in need of a groomer or a pet store, they are the best.

Wendy and Taylor have both worked on dogs I have brought in. Aussie and an Aussie/husky mix. They did a wonderful job on trimming them to breed standard and giving them a much needed de-shed brush! 10/10 would recommend!!!!

I have a frenchie that does not like getting his nails done at all! He will not let the groomers handle him if I am not with him. Here, they are so accommodating. Alexis cuts his nails while I hold my dog in my lap. This has turned out way better than a place I go to up north, which is the typical grooming place. They strap him up on the table and he gets very anxious. With Sunshine pets, we are out in the retail area, with me holding him and Alexis trimming his nails. I really appreciate how kind and accommodating they are with us. It is much less stressful now. Thank you Alexis and team!

The staff were friendly and it was a fast turnaround service. I am disappointed because when I went to go pick up my dog I noticed a small cut on her face. I understand things may happen and I asked the man who groomed her about it. He made up some excuse that it was from her whiskers or nodes leaking but it was not anywhere near her whiskers. Upon looking at it closer and sending a picture to my vet, it was confirmed it was a small nick. Not the end of the world but instead of lying about it, he should’ve been upfront about it.

Alexis was amazing. My doggie Shadow was abused in her former life and can be difficult to groom. But, Alexis showed her extra love and was able to give her a beautiful hair cut even though a groomer at another salon had given up and told me that she may need to be sedated for grooming. I highly recommend Alexis and Sunshine City Pets 🥰

I have been coming to sunshine city pets for several years. I highly recommend them. The staff and groomers are so helpful and kind and they truly love your pets. One of my dogs has a hard time with getting her nails trimmed and they are so gentle with her that she actually loves to go now.

The staff was completely rude and ignored me. When I first walked in nobody welcomed me. The receptionist is unprofessional and treated me like I was a nobody. I hope they get better receptionist because this store has so much potential. I heard inappropriate conversations and word usage. I’m just disappointed.
