I went to this clinic expecting a full appointment with a dermatologist, but I was seen by a PA / nurse practitioner instead. That wouldn’t have been an issue if I had received clear information about my skin concerns. The appointment felt extremely short and unfinished. I asked basic questions about my skin, but I didn’t receive answers or proper explanations.
In the middle of my questions, the person seeing me stepped out to get some sample soap and never came back to continue the appointment, and an assistant handed me the samples instead. I didn’t receive a full exam or a diagnosis, and I left feeling just as confused as when I arrived.
What frustrated me the most was at checkout. When I noticed the higher charge and asked why, the front desk staff told me it was because I had asked “too many questions.” That was honestly shocking, because I was asking questions simply to understand my own skin, something I expected to be part of a medical visit.
To be completely honest, I left feeling that the La Roche-Posay sales representative could have given me more meaningful information about the product I was handed, because at least they usually explain things clearly. I don’t say that lightly, it’s just how I felt walking out.
And I understand now why so many people look for information on TikTok or social media. It’s frustrating to hear criticism about patients relying on the internet when inside the consultation room we sometimes don’t receive the guidance we need. If patients walk out without answers, where else are we supposed to learn about our own skin?
I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but this experience left me genuinely disappointed.
My appointment felt incomplete, I didn’t get information about my condition, and I was charged more simply for trying to understand my own health. I truly hope the importance of patient education is taken more seriously, because informing us shouldn’t feel like an extra service, it’s part of care.

DR. LANOUE, at first I thought, "when did this kid graduate"? Yesterday? But it took literally seconds after he started talking that he knew his stuff. Brilliant, excellent bedside manner, kind, gentle and completely no -nonsense. Everything a 75 year old, nervous, scared, anxious old woman needs. Could not have chosen a better doctor if I had to.... would trust him completely with any health issue I had. Absolutely loved him! His confidence in himself shows through everything else. ***UPDATE***
My insurance was indeed current and accepted. However now I’m told I have to wait 30+ days to get my money refunded! This is truly asinine.
I came in for a follow up to discuss b12 lab work. Appointment was at 2:20. I was not seen until 3:07. For literally FIVE minutes (I timed it) She excused herself to get me a price check. The receptionist told me they do not accept my new insurance so my visit will be between $30-$130 but she won’t know until it’s coded. $124!!! For less than 10 minutes and no solution to my problem. The nurse asked if that was ok. And I said it’s going to have to be. I didn’t want to cancel my appointment when I got her and was told about not accepting my new insurance but I didn’t want to pay $50 for a missed visit. Had I known that would have been better than $124. I had to cancel my appointment I just made because who can afford to pay that and not get better? I asked if I could pay half now and half when I came back and was told no. I definitely want my money refunded and a phone call. This visit did not justify $124.

Nurse was nice, Young Doctor was cold, no "bedside manner". In and out seemed to be the order of business. Corporate approach I guess. They took two biopsies that cost me alone around $350 (who knows what my insurance paid). Never got the results, no letter, no phone call.....(did they ever even send it out?)

First time I came here they insisted on removing something on my nose. The nurse didnt fully numb the area and it was pretty painful when the Doctor preceded to biopsy the area. What I like is that the doctor has a very sociable and friendly staff when you see her. The secretary doesn't like it very much when, as a Hispanic, you can't answer everything. The place is very clean; they're very organized and almost punctual when it comes to calling for your appointment.
