My particular insurance covers 2 cleanings a year and bite wing x rays once a year. I was due for these x rays on my last visit and the woman who did my cleaning said were going to do your mouth x rays. I assumed this was the normal thing that gets done. Fast forward I see a 107 charge on my insurance and find out they were full mouth x rays and not my regular covered bite wings. What bothered me is the office did not ask me if I wanted the extra xrays that are apparently done 3-5 years apart and or explain to me that there would be a 107 difference than my previous years bite wings. No transparency here and in my opinion dishonest and not clear about this. I spent an hour on the phone with cigna trying to resolve this as I thought they should have been covered and they told me no the full mouth x rays aren't covered only bite wings. I later found out that the office themselves keeps that extra $107 which makes sense for them not being clear about it because they are making money on it. Its dishonest tactics in my opinion and I wont be coming back here because of this. this should be fully explained to customers and you should be transparent with them. its not bout the money its about the principle here. This whole ordeal was extremely frustrating and the women at the office were agitated and even hung up on me one time when I called. I really used to like this place but this whole situation has made me lose faith in them.

I had my six month teeth cleaning today at Dr. Makram’s office. While the dentist’s office is never a good experience for me, they have always done their very best to make me as comfortable and at ease as possible with the use of nitrous oxide. I greatly appreciate it as it truly does make my experience so much easier. I thank you for that. And for all your staff for always being so very friendly and helpful to me. See you in six months!

I can’t recommend Dr. Makram highly enough. From the moment I walked into his office, I felt completely at ease thanks to his calm, patient, and attentive demeanor. He took the time to explain every step of the process, never rushed, and made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout my visit. What stood out most was his incredible attention to detail and his gentle approach. All of his staff were welcoming and kind. He clearly takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his patients’ comfort and outcomes. I am a physician in Clearwater, Florida, I drove all the way to Naples to see Dr Makram who was referred to me by a friend. After consulting with different dentists in my area I decided to seek anther opinion from Dr Makram. His office staff and the doctor were very professional. The minute he examined me he knew right away what to do and his diagnoses and treatment plan were explained to me. He performed the procedure on me which was painless . I see a dentist every 6 months for a check-up and cleaning. I have been to Dr. Makram's office three times now. Each time has been just fine. The office staff is pleasant, and Dr. Makram is professional and kind. However, on my third visit, I had a new dental hygienist, Kathleen. She was amazing! She was super gentle around my sensitive teeth and at the end of my appointment, my teeth were cleaner than they have ever been in many years! I hope Kathleen will be around next time I go back. Seriously, she blows all my other dental hygienists away!

Finding a dentist in Naples is hard work... I called five different places before I was about to give up. Then I found Dr. Makram. They are located near work and they accept my insurance. I just need a dentist that can do my cleanings... Not looking for a specialist or anything. Dr. Makram is it! The day before my appointment I got a call saying that my appointment was at 8:20. Why did it change? They don't even open until 8:30! I was confused, so I went in anyway. They were able to immediately help, took the proper X-rays and went through the procedure without hesitation. Denise is a gem. Matter of fact, they all are! The waiting room is nice, they have televisions all over the place, a fridge stocked with water. I was very relaxed and felt like I became quick friends with everyone I engaged with. It was a good experience, and I am glad I found this office. It is a bit hard to find... Go in the main entrance, upstairs and it is the first door on the right. A bit hidden... But I found it. Anyway, had a good experience and will be back in 6 months. That is what I wanted/needed and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist. SMILE! UPDATE: As of November 30, 2017 they are no longer accepting UnitedHealthcare.

Always top shelf professionalism from Dr Makram and staff. He's a talented perfectionist, kind, genuinely concerned about comfort for his patients and has enormous patience. The work areas are always clean and chairs are very comfortable, even providing neck pillows and blankets. He's a consummate professional that we've used for 20 years. One of his assistants, Anna, that assists Dr M. reflects the same qualities as the doctor as I know the other staff does as well. It's just a win-win with the Makram team.

Dr. Makram and the hygienist are awesome. He is a caring dentist, makes sure you are comfortable and goes to great lengths to make sure that your smile looks great. The dental hygienist took time to listen, and ask questions. She did a great job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Makram provided 2 dental plan of action for me to select to complete some added work. The young lady at the front desk needs customer service training as she was dismiss and kind of rude.

I challenge anyone to find a better doctor's office experience in our area. A welcoming office. Knowledgeable, personable staff that set a relaxed atmosphere for their patients. It's obvious that great care is taken in hiring the entire staff, a difficult task in today's lack of labor environment. I've lived in many places having numerous dentists and Dr. Makram is by far the best ever. There has been several significant procedures and pain and discomfort never enter the event. This is the best overall medical experience in the area.

Dr. Makram is truly a MASTER of his craft; he knew exactly how to approach my case with skill, precision, and a level of care that immediately put me at ease. Throughout the entire process, he made sure I was as comfortable as possible, going above and beyond anything I could have hoped for, and I am so grateful! Vivian, his wife, is an absolute saint- her warmth, sense of humor, and kindness were a constant source of reassurance. Nice experienced staff and knowledgeable Dentist with high tech equipment. Quality work was obvious during my visit. I had 2 Crowns done on this visit which was a long process, but effective. I don’t know anyone who enjoys going to the dentist, but when you do go, you want as pleasant an experience as possible. Look no further than Dr. Makram and his staff! Gayle, my hygienist today, was so gentle, yet so thorough, I couldn’t believe it when she said she was finished. Very knowledgeable too. Everyone is personable and the office is extremely clean. First time at this dental office and I loved it . I’ve been looking for anew dentist since mine retired and I feel like I’m “ home “ Gail , the best hygienist in the world , took great care of me and cleaning my teeth. Anna at the desk is very warm yet professional and Dr. Makram was great as well ! Mrs. Makram helped acquire my records from previous dentist and helped make the transition seamless. My wife, whose father was a dentist, DDS, selected Dr. Makram when we first moved down to Naples In July, 2021. My first experience was with Dr. Makram replacing a crown where the root stub it was attached to had broken. His approach of putting in a peg for the crown was a much better approach and should have been done in the first place. We both have since had crowns replaced (decay underneath) and have been very satisfied with the quality of the work. Wife particularly appreciates the thorough, but painless cleanings.

I had a tooth extraction and bone graft performed and Dr Makram and his staff made for as pleasant an experience as possible under the circumstances. Actually I NEVER had pain from the procedure which is amazing. Thus I have to conclude that Dr Makram did an outstanding job performing the procedure. I also appreciate that he explains the procedure and what is going to take place and what you are going to feel before he starts. Very pleasant and professional environment. Highly recommend them.

Dr. Makram made room in his schedule the day I called for an appointment and made temporary aesthetic repairs until I could return for a longer appointment. Dr Makrams entire staff is very knowledgeable and they care very much about their patients. My husband and I both have Kathleen as our dental hygienist, and not only does she have a very pleasant personality but she is very gentle during cleanings. I have found Dr. Makram's office to have a very comfortable and homey atmosphere. It is never crowded with people nor do I have to wait for my appointment. It is relaxed yet Dr. has kept his practice up-to-date with the best technology and equipment. It is never fun to go to the dentist but after many years with another dentist, I can truly say that I was glad that we heard about Dr. Makram and his office. All are friendly, talkative, and helpful. I don't mind going to the dentist because of all these things.

Fantastic experience. The staff are AWESOME. Vivian the office manager/secretary greets me by name every time I come for my appointment. I recently had to have a few cavities filled (which i was completely dreading) and Dr. Makram and his assistant made me feel totally at ease. Every visit to Dr. Makram's office is a pleasant visit. The waiting area is tastefully decorated, spotless, and comfortable but you will never find yourself spending much time there because appointments are always prompt. The front desk manager, Vevian is delightful! She purposely takes the time to engage patients in meaningful conversation and is genuinely interested in everything you share with her. Dr. Makram and his dental hygienists are superior in their knowledge, skill, and care. The office technology is cutting edge and they use an impressive text messaging system for you to confirm or cancel your appointment. Kudos to Dr. Makram and his entire professional team!

As much as a person can LOVE going to the dentist, Dr. Makram does an excellent job. I am new to the area and feel like I have hit the jackpot with this recommendation from a friend. Dr Makram has done a crown and an implant for me. His skill, perfectionism, and use of technology leads to a prosthetic tooth that fits perfectly and feels completely natural immediately. Dr. Makram has been my dentist for my entire life and has always been wonderful at what he does. It is clear that he prides himself in his work and considers dentistry an art. In all the years he has been my dentist, he has never sacrificed functionality for cosmetics or vice versa. I often hear my friends they are afraid of going to the dentist and I can say that every procedure or cleaning I’ve had at Dr. Makram’s office is painless and quick. I even recently started an invasaliagn treatment and the whole process has been painless. During that process Dr. Makram was patient and refused to settle for anything other than the best treatment plan. At first, invasalign’s suggested plan, while cosmetically seemed great, could hurt my bite. However, Dr. Makram went back and forth till he found the perfect plan, that would both look great cosmetically, without sacrificing my bite. I am so thankful for that! The office itself has a spa-like feel, which really helps you stay relaxed throughout the whole experience. His patient rooms are decked out with televisions so that you can watch a show of your choosing during your visit. It is clear to see, he only ever uses the latest technology! Dr. Makram’s staff is polite, friendly and eager to please. They are always on time for my appointments, which is very important to me because of my busy schedule. Their bedside manner as well as Dr. Makram’s is great. They are patient, understanding and gentle. The front staff is so sweet. I often find my self speaking to rude and dismissive front staff members from other doctor offices but I have never had such an experience at Dr. Markram’s office. They always help you find an appointment time that is perfect for you and provide you with ample reminders so that you do not miss your appointment. I’m usually hesitant to recommend anything to anyone but I would recommend Dr. Makram’s office, to anyone, with 100% confidence. Choose Dr. Makram and you will not regret it!

I moved to Naples in August 2017, and visited Dr. Makram for a general check up and to have my teeth cleaned. Everyone in the office made me feel welcome and comfortable from the minute I walked in the door. Dr. Makram recommended repair/replacement of two old crowns. Just had the first done today - zero pain, fascinating procedure, and beautiful result. I am so impressed by the knowledge and skill of Dr. Makram and his staff! This probably sounds a little crazy, but I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Generally speaking it's hard to get excited about your dentist, but in my experience of 3 years with Dr. Makram and his staff all I can say is that they are spectacular. Professional and authentically friendly to the max. I work with world renown orthopedic surgeons for a living so can readily tell if someone knows what they are talking about and if they are properly considering the risks involved in light of the patients actual needs/desires, and I can confidently say that in my experience Dr. Makram is the shining epitome of what a good doctor should be. He never even hinted at rushing to treat me too early and he always listen to my point of view. Throughout my crown procedure I can attest for his skill, and his methodical approach during the procedure as well as the pre-op work when customizing the crown. Plus... No pain! It is obvious he takes a special pride in his work. I was blown away. His staff is awesome too and the dental hygienists share in the same spirit of excellence! Great people.

One thing that set Dr. Makram's office apart from other offices I've visited is their technology. I required a rather simple tooth repair procedure that would typically require a few visits and be rather inconvenient given my busy schedule. Due to his investment in technology and his experience with the equipment, I was able to reduce this to a single, short visit. My experience from walking in the door and meeting the staff through my procedure went very well and I would recommend anybody to visit Dr. Makram's office.

I hate giving 5 star reviews because they seem so phony yet when I try to think of what Dr. Makram and his staff could do better, I can't think of a single thing. I'm an enormous baby and am scared to death of the dentist but in my 4 or 5 visits to Dr. Makram's office, I've never had a bad experience. In fact, every time I leave telling myself that it's no problem to go and that I need to stay on top of it. His staff is incredibly friendly and conscientious of how the patient feels at all times. They joke with me about how I'm a coward and it really makes it a much more pleasant experience. I told Vevian at the front desk today that I completely understand why they're so highly reviewed. It's just such a great office and I couldn't imagine taking my business elsewhere.

Vindictive business model, I'd give 0 stars if possible. Setup an appointment weeks ago, provided my insurance upfront as well as all previous documentation and xrays. Get a call days before my appointment that all of a sudden he refuses to accept my insurance, which hasn't changed, that that he accepted throughout the onboarding process. Incredible that people trust this doctor with their well-being.

I went for my first visit to Dr. Makram. The office staff even though my time had been taken up with filling out information, visit reminders, and appearing for my first appt. had not bothered to check to see if the X-rays that they received from my previous dentist were suitable for them. They noted that the x-rays were taken recently but did not take the time to look at them. So when I arrived they announced that they would either need to reschedule the appt and try to get the original X rays or would have to take a new set of X rays at my expense since the xrays that they had were not clear enough. Of course, I want them to have a good set of xrays to use but they handled this very poorly. I will not go back since this is an indication of how efficient they are at handling information received and running their office efficiently. So many in the medical profession have no respect for the time of their patients.
